I'm quite sure Swedish promotor is taking official words "tour will start in June" too literally. If Barca and Madris will be postponed it's very possible Brussels and Paris and maybe other too, but we don't know. As far as we know, barcelona and Madrid are in 100% postponed.

thanx riff; sorry to misunderstand...i see you have keith's health honestly in mind in your other posts and alla that; and please know...
i don't DO NOT...absolutely will not
denigrate all the disappointment deep fans feel who had scheduled majorly around these dates; and all the plans and anticipation, ticketing hassles etc.; (and $$) that's important stuff in a life. majorly.
especially to keith, ya know? i'm sure u do...
everybody needs to rock it out with the stones to really get the major gusto bigtime...
and tho i listen to all the taylor period stuff i can find mostly...
i loved the 2003 tour; and think this current one kinda spectacular...
boy i wish we were whining about set lists for Spain right now...

and this IS or should be a good place to talk about ANYTHING re: stones and yer feelings and observations etc...a lot of confusion and justified hurt feelings for all kindsa reasons thruout alla this....

that longass 22 page or so thread kind of tells an interesting story of the whole week since the reported accident...tongues flashin' rumors flyin'...
suspicions hatched and confirmed...crazy kooked out posts...fur flyin'...
but everyone wanting keith well and healed...

...and i guess my earlier post back to you represented some of my own emotional stuff re: alla this too...

you know...
'they woulda never cancelled there but they cancelled here'
stuff...kinda motivated my beeg mouth a leetle...

no harm done either way i do not think my friend; i really do believe we're all on the same side here...we want the ol' boy out of medical danger...
there's no control we have over any of this at all...
except our responses as time goes by...maybe not even that.

i dunno if they ever cancelled or postponed a date in the states tho...
i can think of a couple of shows they SHOULDA cancelled tho...
(a little humor ok?)
and also a couple of shows that changed my life forever to this very day...

I think the States are usually at the start of their tour, no?

Here's Keith and the boys, after touring the U.S. for three months, then a break in December, back to the states for three months, then China, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, get a bit of time off before Europe, and what does he do? Tries to have some fun. He has an accident. Dangit.

To all of you complaining about a postponed or cancelled tour and lost money I pity you. Yes he is our idol, plays for our band-but he is also a father and husband. His health is the only concern.

Keith our prayers are with you,

Yeah, 62 is a very good age to drink and then get coconuts from the palm, having no responsibility at all for the tour and all the people behind it... . Just an impredecible accident, isn`t it?

Re: European tour postponed!

It's OK to postpone the tour until he has gotten over the surgery IMO. Of course it really sucks for those who have tickets for those first European shows (Myself included - Horsens). For me, personally, I'd love it if Horsens was the concert that became the European opening concert. It is 13 days after the original Barca opening after all. The way they will rescedule it I think will be either in the end (After the UK dates) or put some of them into the gaps that the European tour already has (Like the gap from July 23rd Cologne to July 30th Amsterdam ArenA). To move the whole European tour up a week or two seems to be a weird move, and I don't think they'd do that.

GET WELL SOON KEITH! FEEL BETTER CHAMP!

EDIT: Reading on this thread is weird. It seems like people don't want him in a plam tree during a tour. It's just a bullcrap statement to make IMO. Everybody on this board have been drunk at one point and done some stupid things. This was the same.

You mean that you want him to climb to the tree ??? You think that's cool?

Except that Keith is over 60 and you are... 15 or something?

Oh come on....

The sad fact is that some people are more concerned about their travel expenses this summer than Keith and his well being. But they are a minority. Most people understand.

Being a normal guy means you have more freedom than a person with an important responsibility. If I get drunk and then I climb a palm tree, and fall, no problem, my wife, my mother and some more people will be worried. But this guy, with 62 years old, with such a responsibility, should have taked more care. If he is able to program a tour, he should be able to take care of himself. A plane crash is an accident. Climbing a palm tree drunk is a stupid thing.

I'm 24 thank you very much. And I actually HAVE climbed into a tree while I was drunk. I didn't fall down though. It's not hard to understand that if you're drunk you often do stupid things. Running over a heavy traffic road, climbing into a tree, go to the roof of your school etc. etc. (I have done all three I might add).

I see your point, but I wouldn't at all say that Keith is a person who's known for taking care of his health. In fact, he's quite the opposite.

I always climbed at roofs while drunk;
woke up in stores or in cellars with bikers all around me.
Once I couldnt walk nor get up three weeks after a big party.
To add what Kent said.

i think this irony is not fair at all. Let me see: we want the "rock and roll man", we idolize the "riffmaster pirate" but then we would like him to behave like a responsible business man or athletes... we already have one in the band. Of course I am afraid they will cancel some shows (because that is what it is likely to happen - just as they did with Milan 98 when they said it was postponed to a later date that year and then it came out that the date was in 2003) but to me it is by far more important to know he is making a full recovery and also I sympathize with his lifestyle. In other words: I would like to feel like climbing trees when I am 62. If the story is true, of course.

Beside that, I have had neurological problems twice last year. I did not go under surgery but the first time doctors told me i should be resting for 3 weeks, second time for 2. I am 38 years old.

Heh heh.. I am sure you have done all that. I have done those things too, but I was much younger then. I don't think that I have done those things anymore after I turned 15 or something. Climbing to the roof of your school at age of 24 doesn't sound very cool to me. Sorry to say, but it sounds bit childish to me. Do you have many friends who share these kind of hobbies with you? How old are they?

My friends are all my age and I don't do stuff like that so much anymore. Every once in a while I do it though. Like jump into a tree or play "The Pepsi Game". My point is: I will keep doing what I feel like doing for the rest of my life, and so should you, Keith and everybody. You follow?

we don't know how the accident happened.
we all knew when we were making our travel plans that things might change.
it's the Rolling Stones - a handful of skinny English cats, each one unique and irreplaceable,
and right now they need time and privacy, and are just doing what they need to do in this hard situation.

Keith, be well - all the way, baby, all the way

I understand what do you mean. But normally (?) you don't like same things all of your life. When you are young you like climbing to the trees and do other "stupid" things. When you grow then you like probably other kind of things. I don't climb to the trees anymore because I don't feel like to. I used to like play toys when I was child, but I don't feel like playing with them anymore. How about you?

I undertand that when you are teenager then all peoples who are older than 30 looks very old from your point of view. Real question is: how old are you? Are you up on the roof now? Don't take this too seriously winking smiley

I love playing with toys. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are my favourite. Of course I don't own any of the action figures, but whenever a kid asks me if I want to play, a situation where the "normal" adult would either say no or not put his heart into it, I go: "SURE"! Playing is fun. Just like it was when I was 8 years old. Riding a moped is fun. Just like it was when I was 15. Drinking is fun. Just like it's been since I was 12. Of course you might think that I'm a complete Looney Toon now. Of course I don't play when I'm by myself. That's, sadly, one of the things that disappear when you get older (I play WITH myself, but that's another story :-D).
