not necessarily. "a few weeks" starts from now - not 27th May

either way, you can bet the tour WONT be finishing as scheduled in Cardiff on 29th August

there are still a few gaps in the schedule but not many, plus with a 2-3 month tour they will still need SOME time off between shows

And there is the added problem of stadium availability in September when the football season starts - although some of the venues that will be affected arent football stadiums, so that might not be as big a problem as in the past. A logistical nightmare if its going to be a delay of more than a couple of weeks.

Plus, with the European tour being extended into September, that will affect plans to tour the US and Asia later in 2006. Those planned dates will also have to be postponed as the band will still need a break of a few weeks after Europe.

What I am saying is 1. You can't do anything about it. Period. 2.You should not spend what you can not afford to live without. 3. Should the show me made up your ticket( to the show) will still be good.Back to rule # 1. You can't do anything about it, so go enjoy your day and give things 5 sec. to develop.

first of all, my best whishes for a rapid recovering to Kif...
But ANYWAY, FOR ALL THE infinite LOVE AND APPRECIATION I HAVE FOR KIF AND THE BAND, I have in this moment the absolute right to be pissed off for the following reasons:

- five concert tickets for Barcellona purchased months ago by credit card for me and friends;
- five plane-tickets Rome-Barcellona-Roma;
- Hotel reservations in Barcellona for the concert week-end for me and my friends.

And it would have been our first RS concert abroad (and our first rs Europe Tour opening date too...)!!!

IT WAS MONDAY...MOURNING

The minimum that the band can do is for us who had tickets and everything planned for the first gigs ,was the Rolling Stones should invite this group of people for a private concert with all the expenses payed.Then they would show their love and respect for the fans

Re: European tour postponed!
Date: May 8, 2006 17:57

Conclusion :

1. We all wish Keef well

2. We'll still pay for a rock-concert scheduled six or nine month ahead

3. We regret / we're pissed / we're sorry etc that we may lose or have lost money when a rock-concert is cancelled/postponed. For some it's a lot of money. For some it ain't.

Humans are caring AND selfish.

I think youre taking this announcement a bit too literally. As those are the 3rd and 4th shows of the tour, I would say theres not a prayer that they'll take place on those dates

Come on, try to look on the bright side. If the tour is postponed, it also means that the constant bitchin' about them setlists is put off for a while as well.
I like that. Besides I've seen the boys on the west coast already.MEZ

Ay ay baby it hurts

The Legend is alive and apparently well. Fabulous. I didn't trust The Sun. I was wrong. Though I still think they are B/S. I ain't a doctor , but due to the physical state of Keith I guess they cannot pronounce. Thus the first list of rescheduling cannot be in any case trusted. For a healthy person, few weeks are few weeks. I would bet on a start in July.
Keep on rollin'Keith. Good health to you. Most important. Money is only money.

The first venue officially announced 3 days ago on RS.com with supporting act is Croatie : July, 10th

Croatie : July, 5th. .

This means there will no time for rehearsing new songs = same old setlist as in US / S.A. and Asia......

Just read the rumours about Patti smuggling vodka to Keith in the hospital - even being sick, he needs his alcohol..... and Mick being more than upset about Keith's egocentric / childish behaviour......

ABSOLUTELY, that and little if anything else is what we SHOULD be conveying to poor Keith - certainly NOT subjecting him to a barrage of moans and groans about forced changes to the European schedule etc etc. Some people ought to be ashamed of the selfish and downright offensive comments they've made in various posts since this news broke. People, please show some HEART for heaven's sake !!

country honk, i'm just curious, where did you read about Mick being upset? I haven't read that anywhere yet, so am currious where you got that from.
But, didn't just the Sun report the Vodka thing? Or were there other sources for that one that I'm not aware of?
Not that you are wrong, I'm just currious.

"People, please show some HEART for heaven's sake !!"

Then Keith should show some grown-up behaviour and some HEART towards Stones fans and stop drinking and smoking..... his way of being will eventually kill the band....

There is NO WAY Keith is gonna stop his addictions so don't expect it. It's so part of him...he's been using Drugs/Alcohol since at least 1965 (that's over 40 years of almost constant mind alteration) Obviously has trouble handling life and fame (no judgement here - life's a bitch for everyone. Fame must be horrible - YEAH, I mean than 100% seriously). If he gets totally cleaned up he'll probably come down with lung cancer in 6 months. The body doesn't like fast, enormous changes, even if they are for healthy reasons. He is who he is and is gonna be here as long as he's gonna be here. I had a friend who was in a bad car accident. A coma for a few days, in the hospital with a cracked pelvis and blood clot in his leg for weeks on sedatives and pain killers. By the time he got out he was a none smoker with out even trying. Then he put on 30 pounds in 2 months, couldn't fit into his clothes, started smoking 4 cigs a day. No he's back to a pack, lost his weight and nothings changed.these changes ain't easy, don't expect Keith to change - maybe for a few months, that's it.....
