Ronnie's comment in Stockholm 2003: "We're all allowed a bump in the road, aren't we?" Assuming that everybody know that their cars crashed on the way to the venue - priceless (and so was Keith's reaction )
"I didnt know Bill Wyman had left" (overheard in 1999)
"play something we know!" (usually whenever they DONT play something thats on Hot Rocks/40 Licks - I actually heard this shouted during 'Beast of Burden' once)
"It was good - but I thought that they would have played the whole of the '40 Licks' album " (said to me by a former Northern Ireland World Cup'82 star in the bar after one of the Dublin shows in 2003)
"Is that it finished?" (overheard when the band left the stage after Keith's set one hour into a show at Wembley in '99, just before the 'bridge' started coming out)
This happened to friend of mine during the 97 Babylon tour. When Keith was singing one of his numbers somebody asked my friend: "when do the Rolling Stones get back on stage"?
Hey Kent, I heard a similar thing in 1999 Charlotte,NC. Some punks sitting next to me were there to see the Goo Goo Dolls, and said they planned to leave before the Stones came on, whoever the Stones are. And they were serious!!!

I also seem to recall (not sure if it was in the press or actually at the show - but I think it was the latter) someone complaining about them opening a Voodoo Lounge show with an obscure song that no-one would know
'Not fade away'......
Evidently, the clueless fúcknuts that turn up to Stones shows arent confined exclusively to their 21st century audiences...

Wasn't it at a press conference? Mick Jagger answering: Well, we want to popularize it?
I was with a group of 8 friends at the Nashville show in 2002 and one lady kept saying over and over "I hope they play Emotional Rescue." I didn't have the heart to tell her it wasn't gonna happen.
Seattle 10/15/81 waiting for the Stones to hit the stage...talkin' to some young ladies. We ask "how long you been Stones fans?" Reply: "Oh, we go WAY back to when they were doing Miss You." "That far, eh?"
"I guess people will be coming and going all day long."
(Overheard at a 6-hour stadium show where the Stones had two opening acts. This person had no clue that the entire crowd would be staying to see the Stones or that the Stones were any more significant than the other two bands.)
