Yeah, I have that one...used to listen to it when I was out front washing my Jacked Up Hot Rod Chevy Nova - 350 V8, 3 miles to the gallon - LOL. I'd put the stereo speakers out there and blast the neighborhood with MARLEY.....I can state without any doubt that reggae is damn good car washing music...gets that baby clean for the cruisin'......The Stupid things we used to do....were as stupid as the stupid things we do now....

Hey MB...I was turned onto the Babylon By Bus album by a sweet lady I dated in college for awhile...she attended one of those concerts from which the album was recorded, I think in Memphis. We had lots of fun while the the album played in the background, but I never tried to wash a Nova to the music...

...but I did once drive a Nova off a cliff on the Blue Ridge Parkway, with me and a friend in it. Like Toonce the Cat...does that count?

Now that I look back, that's REALLY what Nova's are made for, to be driven off of a cliff...Naw, I shouldn't be so mean, it was a good car, got me to HS on time.

Toonce was funny...whatever happened to a funny SNL? Now on the opening credits there's about 25 cast members and they still can't do what the original and 2nd version (Murray in, Chase out) did - sad.

Reggae as "Special" BG music? Never tried that (unless you want to count CHERRY OH BABY) I got into Reggae cause of the Stones... Haven't listened for a long time...it's all just vinyl still - stored away deep somewhere in the cool darkness (feelin' a bit like Morrison).....

LOL! Toonces.
I think its funny how every sketch of that ended with the same stock footage of the car driving over the cliff. it looked like it was from a movie from the 70s

I think Keith Richards drove his car off the "M-1" like Toonces before.

yeah, ryanpow, everyone watching just knew what was ultimately going to happen to Toonces' passengers, everyone except the passengers that is....

But you know, it's hard to feel sorry for the doomed passengers, because, I mean they chose to ride in a car driven by a cat for crying out loud.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Now that's what I call pure humor...thanks CindyC...Toonces was holding his own pretty good until that last curve.

Well it's their own fault. They should have taken him to a parking lot to practice, not a cliff. Jheeeeesh!

An oldie, but a goodie. Let's hear some more. Doesn't have to be limited to Stones concerts.

A few years ago I saw Roger Waters on that tour where he played all of Dark Side Of The Moon and a bunch of other Pink Floyd songs. While he was playing "Wish You Were Here", the guy behind me asked his friend, "Is this song on Dark Side Of The Moon?" (For all you non-Pink Floyd fans, that would be like asking if "Let It Bleed" is on Beggars Banquet.)

Couple sitting behind me at a Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young concert:

Him: The only one I recognize is Stills. He's the one with bare feet.
Her: Oh, I love his song, "Almost Cut My Hair".

(Nash was the one with bare feet. Crosby wrote and sang Almost Cut My Hair.)

How about the "usual suspects"?

1)
The does anybody have a/some _____ guy?
Does anybody have some papers?
Does anybody have some weed?
Does anybody have a lighter?... in that order

2)
The hot chick by the "check point" access to the floor,
"Can I borrow you ticket stub, I will right back, I need to find my friend"

3)
The obligatory shirtless, crazy hair, wild eyed dude who always comes pushing, running, moving across whatever row we are in, up front (I have no idea where he comes from or where he goes, and I dont care... as long as he keeps moving).

4&5(they come in pairs)
The two tallest people (sometime a couple) in whatever city we are in, who are usually right in front of us, and typically feel the need to hold thier arms above their head, lace their fingers and hold the back of their heads... this is why I love GA concerts... as we move on along...

6-20
Goofballs who feel obligated to sing (every fkn song) louder (and of course off key) than the lead singer... this is why I love GA concert... as we move on along...

20-to be continued..... (including the puker, bathroom breaker and of course the chatty kathy talkers)

But still, I never allow these concert "comics" to ruin a show, the fun must go on.

Well, it wasn't at a Stones concert, but, at a 1989 Who concert at Giants Stadium, I was seranaded by a "neighbor" who sang along with a certain well-known hit as follows: "No one knows what's it's like to feel these feelings, like I do, AND I BLAME YOU, MOTHERF-CKER, YOU BITCH!" Really, I can't make this stuff up!

After a 1995 show in Buenos Aires a friend of mine (not a true Rolling Stones fan btw) said: "everything was perfect but it was a pain that the screenplay failured during "Rocks Off". I couldn't believe what I heard!

Overheard at a Bob Dylan Concert from the row behind me.
Guy trying to impress his date.

"Now, Bobby can play the HELL out of a guitar. I've seen it. Years ago I saw him with a Martin and I went out and bought one JUST like him. I can play just like him."

Last time I saw BB King there was a very drunk man who asked everyone around him at the beginning of eveyr song "Is that Stormy Monday?!? Sir? Sir? is that Stormy Monday? I think that's Stormy Monday!" He said that during every song BB played.

At the same show Kim Wilson took an extended harp solo and I overheard "Oh my god, what is he doing!?!"

Conversation with a guy sitting next to me waiting for a Neil Young concert to start. These were 7th row, $75 seats. $75 in 1999. "SuperFan" section. Right?

Him: Why is there a piano on the stage?
Me: That's Neil's piano.
Him: Neil Young doesn't play the piano.
Me: Yes he does. He's probably going to play "After The Gold Rush" on it.
Him: Neil Young doesn't play the piano.
