lexington...the streets are lined with pig statues...no lie..

sad part is i was there on a sunday and didnt even get to try any BBQ...i guess it's a sin to serve pig on sundays.

No barbecue on Sundays... just when you think you've got the Bible Belt figured out you read something like this.

hey lukester what is the restaurant/bar in blowing rock that has the deck? when i was in college it was called holley's and was sort of a general store where you could get pitchers of beer.

i sorta miss that place

I practically grew up there when I was in college and it was called Holleys.

I still go there once or twice a week. They have live music too. Leon Russel was there twice this past spring/summer and yet the capacity is only 200 people!!!

About the BB, I most admit before I went to NC I checked Google to see what is Lexington, but the BB differs complete from my home country, but I liked it I liked it.

And your dialect I loved the most.

i havent been to boone in a while...my ex used to like to go to the outlet mall there and earthfare...i need to make it back up sometime.

It's still real cool, mgg. The people are party animals, the food's great, the view is, well, breathtaking, but be careful in the parking lot and driving away from there, if you know what I mean. (the law)

yes..that would be the one and the same...i have lots of similar stories..but i only realize just how bad they are in hindsight...at the time i was wondering what was up..WITH ME..hehe...i've since figured out that the problem wasnt me at all.

even the campus cops in boone are nuts..i once got a ticket up there for drinking a beer at a party..after i had left...i had no beer on me...i was just walking home and the cops decided to harass me

Me too SP! That's why I drew that "Super Mick", as I like to call it. I'm trying to become a comic book illustrator. I wouldn't even care which company I worked for. There's so many really good quality comic books being produced today IMO.
