LA FORUM, have you really got it:
[iorr.org] ???

to Leonard Keringer: Sure there's nothing wrong with Open-G's -and anyones - interest in Mick Taylor, who is part of the Stones legacy. I like M-T. very well. But we'll respect Ronnie as part of the Stones, over 30 years now, too. Stop all these poor diskussions, respect Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, they wanted Ronnie to play with them. And they are touring with Ronnie now.

All what's to say about the Open-G-ban is said here: [iorr.org]

>> Let him do it on a Taylor board, why here????

Because Taylor was a Stone and the Stones did some of their
greatest work when Taylor was in the band.

In the eternal heavy weight battle between Woody and Taylor the first casulties are found. But the war goes on... Who's next smiling smiley

Seriously, I suppose the reason was not being too Taylorite, but something else. BV is the hard working man plus the boss here and this is his work of art. We should respect him and obey the rules here.

But I like the opinions and remarks of OPEN G, and gonna miss him.

What do you expect from a board where some people write: If you critzise the Stones why are you here. I am a big Stones fan but I listen to lots of other music. There are songs/records which I do not like very much. But at least I'm no fanatic at all.
I also consider the Taylor years as a highlight for the Stones, and no live recording impressed me more over two decades than the London/Brussels recordings from 1973. I can listen to it any time and I am simply thrilled. However, I think that there should be no personal offence against Ron Wood. At least he was a member of the band for almost 30 years

For all his single mindedness I rather liked OpenG's Taylor musings. The man's a grown adult with kids of his own, but his almost child like enthusiasm for Taylor's playing reminds me of something I miss within myself so I will miss him for that reason most of all. Though singular in his devotion, he was unoffensive and added a bit of color to the board so I'm surprised he was tossed by Bjornulf. Sure and there are other posters here far more vitriolic and offensive to others than he ever was. OpenG, wherever you are, keep doing what you do!

Bjornulf, you are right. On this site there are your rules. Anybody who wants to post here has to agree to your rules, whether they like the rules or not. If they don't like the rules then let them go somewhere else.

Thanks for the news flash Sender but if the Stones current setlist is any indication, it's still 30 years ago for the most part.

I will never post here again. Without fans and opinions this site would be NOTHING. And when someone tells me what to think or write to be accepted on IORR - then you can keep your kingdom to yourself, BV. I´M VERY dissapointed.

I love Mick.. but he left Woody,,was there and still is...I do believe Taylor did co write....nothing against sir Mick but...he s out...and you cant leave the Stones..only if you yourself wants to...so its a non subject to me...I wonder people talking more and more bout Taylor,as if Brain Jones never lived. You dont have to create camps...I have nothing against g..and Taylor..but Ronnie is a hell of a gent!!!We dont have to hurt him.

Who's hurting Ronnie?? I'm not

I'm just giving credit to a person who I think deserves it.

All of the Stones speak highly of Mick Taylor and what he brought to the
Stones from 1969 they 1975, just read the interviews...

he's still held in high regard by these guys, Keith especially

Bob Dylan descibes Taylor as "One of the finest guitarists in the world".

There is no better tribute.

Taylor leaves the Stones, so he does not deserves anything for me...

Dylan is right, of course. But, Dylan tends to praise everybody and his grandmother, frankly.

I got sick of seeing OpenG post Taylor topics over and over. I thought he was running it into the ground. But, I just simply stopped reading any threads he started. And he never said anything offensive to anyone or about anyone. I don't agree with the decision to ban him at all. BV, it is your board and we all appreciate your hard work, but in my opinion banning him was a bit much.

Now MLC I really did dig Taylor!!!!!He did play wonderful-You cant say '''Rooster''love s Wood so he s hate Taylor.....I dont much of my fav..Stones songs..are from the Taylor period...but one cant say..anything cause..Mick did want t get out ''right''.If you are mad dont be mad cause you cant place me in the Taylor or Woody camp!!!Love them both...and its not the subject...its about G..and I didnt ban...so you calm down...and for Ronnie Cheers!!!!!!

Affirmatively, it would be a sad person that did't have praise for his/her grandmother!
