Hope dies last, right!?

some folks might go to church and say a little prayer.
I find it more appropiate to moan about the setlist on this board.
there is a slight chance to be heard by whom it concerns.
I know thats a more than a slim chance, but as i said, hope dies last.

let me hug you rknuth...you nailed it, man.

What IS a warehorse ? a song which is played tour after tour..show after show.
So that means it depends to the Stones ..not to the fans.

The band is not forced to play them cause of the tourist fans expectation.
They are just to lazy.

You got me rocking for example...is a good song from their "new" periode.
But I am sure they have at least 6 songs from the same period which are similar.....but are never playd.
I used to like YGMR.....but don´t like it anymore cause I do not see the point of playing it again and again.I have to correct. I still like the song., but I don`t want it to be playd anymore cause it should be replaced by something NEW.

This is the Stones in 2006..they have NEW stuff....but keep in recycling the SAME old ones.....something IS wrong.

As someone said before....if you are a hardcorefan it is normal to ask for more variety of songs.
I mean..what a fan am I, if I only love the GREATEST HITS section ?
I love the Stones as a whole...
What makes them great?
The songs.
How many do they have to offer?...at least about 150 which are livecompatible
How many do they play regularly ? 30 songs again and again..
Now, if you say they playd already 60 songs this tour.....most of them just playd once.

But whom am I talking to...it IS senseless anyway...but this is a forum for us hardcorefreaks..and to me evry Stones gig cares....whether I am there or not.

Cheers

I believe there are more arenas than message boards
to fight this fight in...
My radio station has maybe 200 songs with the Stones,
or at least not much less than 200....

How many do circulate?

Check some stations, wish some songs,
let´s lift up Lovin Cup, Shine A Light, Shelter;
and even 2,000 Light Years etc....
Esp. in countries we know they soon will come to.
A half year in advance would be perfect, wouldnt it?

Then they may have the time to adjust the setlist...

(Go to the little window: "Snabbval" & choose "Lyssna live!")
[There is also a little button with the words Lyssna live, to the right that is.

"Önska en låt" = Wish a Song!. Click there, and fill in:

I am glad I am one of the "average people" i.e. the guy in the street because it would be depressing to be hating every show and every song - always chasing for the song I have never heard in my life before. I love the Stones because of what they are and what they play.

That was nicely put.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Well, no one here is hating shows or songs.

Actually, it's really not that bad. Personally, I would hate to be average.

I couldn't agree more with you Bjornulf, well said.
I had a fantastic time at the Montreal show last tuesday, and I would have had an eqaully good time if Keith hadn't changed his songs, or if they hadn't played As Tears Go By, or if they had played 20 different songs....
It must be terrible if all you can do is focus on the songs they don't play. I'm happy that they are still out there touring.
