This is great news for the thousands-upon-thousands of Oasis fanatics across North America; I've recently discovered that Mexico is - technically - part of 'North America' eye rolling smiley Anyway, whatever! smileys with beer

Might as well recycle this post I made:

Oasis tour - in 2005 I had an oh shit that's tonight moment and hurried to the Hollywood Bowl, missing the openers and getting a G level super seat for $5. In 2008 they played to about 9,000 people at Staples Center with the upper deck mostly empty. Now I know there are people who weren't even born yet trying for tickets and we are in a more globalized concert market but don't let yourself get gaslighted into panic buying overpriced seats. And whatever you do, don't buy more tickets than you can use yourself. They have 11 months to pull out every trick in the book to maximize revenue and fill as many seats as possible. Now I am glad it's the Rose Bowl and not SoFi as I am much more likely to try to go assuming I am still alive, still living in CA, still have a country, etc.

Also they have always been just kinda ho hum live, it's just the incredible first 2 albums / The Masterplan that kept me coming back but I expect those songs to make up the bulk of the set though there are rumblings they have will a new album by next year.

and on the Dynamic Pricing announcement:

Has little to do with backlash. In a normal touring market they are not a stadium level act. There will still be gaslighting, artificial scarcity and platinum priced tickets. This is definitely a public relations move to get more people interested who otherwise are reluctant to play Ticketmaster's game. They have a year to sell as many tickets as possible (there will still be tickets close to showtime).

You've said something very similar, already!

I understand some are not interested; that's fine. It is, however, going to be the event of 2025. Oasis' regrouping is about a big as it can possibly get. Zeppelin? Well, perhaps if they'd have bothered in 2007, after their o2 Arena show in London.

They are not "fake." They are speculative tickets or season ticket / seat option owners. All these marketplace exchanges pay after event unless you are an established broker and penalize for failure to deliver. If you don't get the ticket you get a refund and the seller gets a 100% penalty in lieu of payment charged to card on file or deducted from other sales. Failure to deliver is a whole different problem but like most media depictions they are utterly clueless how this all works.

VividSeats started listing their stock as a percentage of capacity which though the consumer may not be able to deduce it's meaning I have found quite useful. 4% of inventory 3 days out? I can definitely wait a few more days to purchase.

I have my own reasons of being very leery of buying non-transferable resale tickets a year in advance but this article is disingenuous at best.

Edited to add: I don't mind the Stubhub CEO being pulled in front of Congress to explain how this all works. At danger of getting too political I am kinda pissed that Congress is wasting time feigning concert for entitled and well heeled celebrity-obsessed suburbanites when I don't even qualify for housing anymore. Mainly due to speculative purchasing and manipulation of supply in a similar manner. And unlike tickets I don't recall a single congressional hearing over it.

I'm amazed at how many people take Liam's comments on Twitter at face value. He's taking the piss most of the time.

I would imagine the current focus is on the world tour shows that are still to be announced, getting the band lineup finalised and finishing off the new album...

Roll on 2025

I doubt that very much! I'm sure they'll have plenty to say (if not in the same room as each other)....

The shows will be 110 minutes as usual, that's the magical concert time which works for everyone. Bruce's sets this summer were the best I've seen him just because he kept the shows under three hours. Oasis have always done 19-21 songs live from 96 onwards. Keep 'em hungry an' all smileys with beer

With dates across the U.K., Ireland, North America and Australia all confirmed - and sold-out! -, the next round of performances surely has to take place on the European mainland. Well, it looks like Rome is already rumoured for 2026.

Another terrific five, probably not amongst that number liked by winos:

Listen Up, Sad Song, The Fame, Going Nowhere, Idlers Dream. For those unaware, the latter-mentioned is a latter-day B-Side, much loved by Noel.
