I'm glad to see a lot of the "old timers" like myself coming out of the woodwork to pay tribute to Gazza. Between the posts here and on Facebook, it's amazing to see how many lives he's touched in different ways. I never got the chance to meet his wife, but I hope when she is ready, she reads all the lovely tributes to her husband. Heather, I am so sorry for your loss and pray for your strength to get through this difficult time.

Gazza once made made me laugh so hard I swear my bear came out my nose.
Yes, he accomplished many other things in life, but the quality of his stories cannot be overstated.

Not only was he funny and kind, he also had his Stones facts straight. Perhaps this was his superpower.

I think I only met him once actually, at the Pilot Inn with Rockman, Dandelion, Sweet Virginia and a bunch of others before the O2 gig in 2012. That was the beer incident.
And then we sang for some Latvian tv crew (or something) on the way to the stadium.
Years later he helped me with some facts (yet again) for a book. Will always be grateful for his down to earth manner and friendly mails.

Last night I was trying to remember the punch line Gary told when he managed to get me to laugh so hard. Couldn´t do it.
You had to be there.

Or even better..

Gary, you should be here, with us.

The Hang Fire Podcast host called Gazza - “The World’s Greatest Rolling Stones’ fan.” Amen to that!! In 2018 my wife and I traveled to London to do all of the usual tourist type things. And of course we might as well see The Rolling Stones while we were there. But I really went to meet the famous Gazza. What a delight he was. There was a great gathering at the Cabbage Patch before the Stones’ concert at Twickenham. He could not have been nicer and more generous. It was apparent why he was so beloved. I mourn with the rest of the Stones’ community. Gary was one of a kind and he is irreplaceable.

I never had the privilege to meet him, but reading all these moving tributes tells me what a wonderful person he was, and it seems he lived his life to the fullest, enjoying family, friends and music. We can all learn from him how we should do the same. Condolences to his wife and family. RIP, Gazza, we will all miss your posts.

Gazza was one of those rough diamonds that made the online Stones community sparkle.
I trust he will be enjoying the company of Brian, Charlie, Stu and Bobby, where ever
they may be.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

After 10:20 and onwards Gary talks a bit about Bob Dylan with Mick Taylor, Ian mcLagan, Collin Allen, and Gregg Sutton. Gary mentioned that Gregg passed away recently, so this video must have been done quite recently.

I met him once, at the "Pilot Inn" before one of the shows at O2 in London.
A nice guy sadly gone way too early.
