Pre ticket stress is legendary.
No worries. Everybody gets tickets.

Every tour, since 1972, I get STSD: Stones Ticket Stress Disorder. A few days before tickets go on sale, I start to feel tense. That tension gets worse and worse until I get my tickets. My STSD gets so bad that I often make very very bad decisions when buying tickets. I almost always over pay. Or I buy seats I don’t want out of desperation, then have to buy more tickets later. It’s truly awful until I have the tickets I want. Only then does the stress subside.

Is it too cynical to think that the “test” might have been information gathering by AXS for use in their pricing algorhithms?

I’m envisioning the AXS computer dude who effed up by letting it go public in the first place getting that call from the boss: “get in your office and dont come out until you have single-handedly cancelled every ticket and processed every refund…. Then come to my office for your pink slip. Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving”
Stuff happens….

Your envisioning is most likely most incorrect.
By this stage no "computer dude" would have anything to do with a mature system like AXS on a day to day basis.
It's far far far more likely to be a human error by some poor dude in a pre-setup ticket office.
No self respecting organisation would let a "computer dude" anywhere near any live data. Ever.
How come U2 played there?Quote

Regarding the Sphere, it seats 20,000 and it would be very difficult for the promoter to meet the Stones per show guarantee with only 20,000 tickets.

Thanks for the heads up. Checked my statement, refund was $21 less than purchase. I’ll call my card company, am sure they will correct it. Check your statements, everyone! Bloody bandits…

VIP package give you the opportunity to stay in first row in the pit, right? I remember they have the entry early.
axs
On axs vip package page:
“VIP merchandise will be shipped directly to each package purchaser; some exceptions may apply. Delivery of VIP merchandise could occur after event date - please make sure to take this into consideration when purchasing a package. Package purchases are restricted to U.S. & Canadian addresses only.”

Update - just called my card company. The difference between purchase and refund amount is because they charge a 2.5% foreign exchange fee on foreign currency transactions. They don’t usually reverse them but when I explained what happened, it’s been reversed. Any costs for this should be borne by AXS.

From past experiences, do you think they will have a separate on sale date for the second nights or will it go on sale the same day after a sell out?
