Stone-cold absolute banger of a track. For me, the best thing they've done since 1981. Ear crack! Love it!

The first extract I heard left me with a bad impression.
But listening to the entire song with the real sound: "Wow"!!
It's a real good one!

love at first listen. when all the dust and hype of the novelty will be settled down, this song will stand as one on the level of their catalogue, me feels

Great song..surprised Elton isn't really featured in it, or a shout out like Paul/Gaga/Stevie got.

Love the sax and background vocals.. "I wanna get Lost In You" great line smileys with beer

Didn't like it at first as it "steals" the "Too Far Gone" melody in the beginning but it has grown on me a lot. A great Stones "shuffle" like there aren't many, Sway or Slave (the saxophone helps).

Like some others have said, I also didn't like what I heard on the initial leak. But this one was a grower like few songs I've ever heard. The first listen with good sound and a comfortable place was much better. About three listens in I was blown away. This is really tremendous stuff that's such a pleasure to listen to. To me it's my third favorite song on the record. Every time I listen to it I like it more.

That just about sums it up for me too.

I was reminded of "Slave" almost from the start. Almost nostalgic to hear this one. Come to think of it, a number of other tracks have nostalgic throw-backs to Stones and MJ tracks from times past.

Expecting a blaze of no. 1s in worldwide sales.

Incredible. Too overcome to write more. My favorite since ‘Goats Head Soup’ in ‘73. Every song.. No slumps. “Drive Me Too Hard” took me back to another time, another place. The whole album made me forget my problems and sadnesses as they always have.
A masterpiece. In the Top Ten for me. Haven’t been so moved by a Stones album like this in decades.
So glad I’ve lived long enough to hear it. Wasn’t supposed to.
God Bless The Rolling Stones.

These comments take it the step further that I'd already reached.

What I mean by that is that it (the whole album) struck me as not just nostalgic with lots of familiar sounds. It was about another post that said it sounded like a Stones greatest hits album, but t's far more than that. It's a Stones "greatest sounds" album, with an almost unique blend of familiar sounds built into new songs, an anthology of the last 61 years brought right up to the present.

Something very unusual has been achieved here.

There's a familiar feeling with this for me... crosses paths with Slave and Sway.

My favourite of the album. I think, as someone else stated, in a years time when thr dust has settled and the excitement about gaga has diminished a little we will return to this track as the true diamond of the album.

When the leak hit, I thought the first half of this, prior to the sax solo, was pretty ordinary. And that from the sax solo to the end it was like it was another track (obviously not!), the “second half” being great.

I stand by that. I like this, not love it, but wow, the sax solo! It DOES lift the second half of the song.

Wouldn’t trade the song for anything, it’s so good to HAVE it, but it’s not my favourite.

Nice sax work by James King....that is how sax is supposed to sound on a Rolling Stones song!

I'm only up to track 4 or 5. But this song sounds like a louder version of 'Too far Gone'.

I agree, the production and the absence of Charlie make it sound like something else than The Stones.
I miss Charlie and Don on this.

Just listened to the entire record for the first time. Man, once the verse kicked in on this one I was sold. Fantastic riff. The chorus seemed kind of weak though. But then that sax solo...

Gonna listen to this one again now.

As we suspected this is indeed a Keith idea as Mick says in the book that Keith and Watt sent him that track when he was in Italy. He liked it but didn't know what to do with it at first and then the top line came to him.

Odd that Keith didn't take credit for it in the Guitar Magazine interview where he was asked what he'd brought to the sessions.

The guitar weaving between Keith & Ronnie on this is amazing!
Put on a pair of headphones & just listen

"Well my heavy throbbers itchin' just to lay a solid rhythm down"

Fantastic rhythm by Keith and Ron. This is Slave no. 2. Brilliant soundscape with the percussion and quiteness before the sax solo.

The chorus is so weak........and is the second song of the album
After some listens...,.i don't feel any greatness, but the sax solo
A filler??
