Still loving the new album, my biggest complaint is them not playing more of it live. If you look back at new albums this one has the least amount of new songs played live. Even ABB they played more songs from.

The Hackney Diamonds Tour is not over. After 20 shows they did play less new songs on the ABB tour than they did on the HD tour. They played in total 6 songs from HD and 8 from ABB. So they played exactly half of the songs from both albums live.

The problem is they didn't play some of the best stuff...Get Close, Depending on You, Dreamy Skies, Depending on You...even Rollin' Stone Blues. COME ON!

Maybe for you and me and 10% of the audience, the songs you mention would be grest to hear. But for the majority of the audience, the new songs would be ‘toilet-time’ and interrupt the flow of the narrative of the concert.

Excellent observation, Rockman! There's not many people left here who still know about these facts.

No they didn't.

They dropped it down to Rough Justice for most of the 2007 shows, played Streets Of Love and ONNYA here and there, and some shows with zero.

2006 between 3 and 4.

HACKNEY DIAMONDS was treated better than A BIGGER BANG in terms of consistency. As much as they should've played more songs from ABB the same with HD but that means less time for pedantic crap like SFTD. Miss You doesn't need to be 10 minutes long, either.

The vinyl is ok, but with a rubberstamped white sleeve, William Stout cartoon insert & shrink-wrapped the whole product would look a lot more appealing, at least for me.

A (new) missed opportunity, the same album with the same 12 songs over and over again with different colors, ridiculous.

In the second album (the Racket show, 34 minutes) they have more than 10 minutes of space to add 2 or 3 new songs or leftovers from the enormous amount of songs they recorded in the last decade, not even have to be good songs, just unreleased ones and the die hards would buy the album again in a heartbeat.

They missed the train here, this will sell next to nothing (just as the Voodoo Lounge reissue) not even with the Christmas season.

Agreed, a complete vacuum of creativity by the marketing team.

A year on, great album, but Bite My Head off and WWW lack any soul/groove, and detract from the other songs.

All the best or at least my favorite songs on this album were never played live. Get Close is such a great song.
