It's a shame Ghost Hounds have another gig that night. Oh, wait.

Tyler Childers, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., even War & Treaty would be great. Lainey Wilson not bad. Others seem like fill-ins though Widespread Panic is a pretty popular jam band.

Lord help me, two opening acts in Glendale.

Kaleo opened in Brussels. Here is the recording. They were forgettable.

The Linda Lindas are easily the coolest act on the list, and at the risk of a Living Colour-style crowd reaction, it's very cool of the band to pick them, though I'd guess that they probably come cheap and that that may have been a factor.

Tyler Childers is the other particularly noteworthy act imo (if only because Bettye Lavette, a very respectable artist who's never been particularly my cup of tea for whatever reason, seems a much more obvious choice even without Steve Jordan connections?), but his fellow and more commercial country singer Lainey Wilson, who I don't know well, may not be bad either.

Widespread Panic, from but not wholly of the "jam band" world, is a bit of an interesting choice too, one that likely has something to do with moving tickets in mile-high Colorado, where they regularly headline multiple nights at the same promoter's Red Rocks amphitheater, but not entirely lacking in musical merit either.

As for the rest, except for triple-billed Carin Léon, it tends generic, even if a Gary Clark Jr. might be on the higher end of that spectrum than some others. I'm guessing that "Lawrence" is a case of somebody knowing somebody/the right people, but like a number of other acts on the list, they do have an activist side that may have been a factor as well. Will be interesting to see who gets the other NY slot.

Of course the best "opening acts" are the long list of those on the bill at Jazz Fest.

Don't know if it's been posted before ... the 2nd support act in Glendale plays "Electric Mud" - three of the 4 band members are Patti & Keef's nephews
