Saw them open in Montreal. The sound was so bad, it was just a cacophony of echo. Watched them, but certainly didn't hear them.
The Stones sounded fine, of course.

I went to both shows in Vancouver & had the opportunity to talk to Vernon Reid after the first one. Told him about the sound issue & he wasn't happy. He must've raised a little hell because it was much better the second night.

I'm sure Ghost Hounds will be back to play their staid, soulless rock and roll. I've heard openers PAY the Stones in exchange for the exposure and that the leader of Ghosthounds (the older guy on keyboards at stage right) is some retired software developer with mega-bucks who hired a band straight out of central casting so as to live out his rock and roll fantasies. Anybody else heard this?

Lady Gaga would be my pick as an opening act. She did sing with the Stones on Sweet Sounds of Heaven. I am surprised no one has mentioned her name. She is truly a great singer, having performed duets with Tony Bennett. She could also join the band for at least one number, such as SSOH. She could easily hit the high notes on Gimme Shelter too.

Stones don’t need a opening act thank you.

I'm still stunned by them doing "pay to play." When did this start?

I got a text today, with the support act for Phoenix on May 7:
“CARIN LEÓN”
No clue who that is, but any official news about other venues’ support acts yet?

"Who that is" is a Mexican singer-songwriter who's fairly new on the scene. Could be cool. Bring your Stetson.
