I was pretty sure that 'Blackberry Smoke' will be one of the openers.
They are really great.
Alas, I was wrong. sad smiley

All that said, the Ghost Hounds did a pretty mean version of Cliff Richards' "Devil Woman" in 2021

Denver pricing almost doubled overnight. Widespread Panic that popular?

If you were looking for a Gaga set, that would seem to be the one, but I'd still bet against it.

Might Chanel get her own set?

In Denver and a few other places in their native South, yes.

Widespread Panic has a massive following. They were one of the headliners at the New Orleans Jazz fest last weekend.

Their following is more devoted than it is large, so while they make sense as a headliner at the "Locals Thursday" at Jazzfest, they don't quite make it as a weekend headliner.

Widespread Panic has played Red Rocks over 70 times.

Panic is a great opening act for those attending the Denver show.

I've seen many opening acts for the Stones through the years. I guess my favorite opening act, or the one I remember best, may have been the Pretenders at MSG.

Is there a list of upcoming opening acts anywhere? I was wondering about the Chicago shows and praying for Buddy Guy.

Jon Batiste is opening the first NYC area show.

Not my favorite NoLA performer, but very talented and a very nice guy, among the better openers on the tour.

Any reviews on the Red Clay Strays last night?

Probably in the minority here but I never generally watch support acts. Just a pain waiting for the Stones. Florence was the last one I saw at West Ham (London Stadium).

I'm basically the same but I started listening to these guys. There is a live at the red rocks full show on youtube they are a great live band just wondering how they came across on the big stage.

I thought the Red Clay Strays did a great job last night. A couple of the songs were very powerful. I also appreciated they didn’t use the opportunity as an info commercial for the band like Lawrence did for NJ2, that was embarrassing and I will never listen to them again because of it.

Samantha Fish...excellent choice. She's a gem.

Samantha Fish is a great NOLA artist and shreds the guitar!

I've been pretty happy with most of the warmups on this tour.
Some standouts for me have been -

Jon Baptiste at Met Life
Tyler Childers in Orlando
Kaleo in Philly (first time seeing/hearing them and there will be more!)
Bettye Leavett and Lainey Wilson in Chicago.
Widespread Panic in Denver.

Yeh, she lives in NOLA but she is from Kansas City. A Missouri girl.

LA SoFi 2, here's a taste of your opener in a few hours. The Linda Lindas one year ago in KEXP Seattle's studio.

[youtu.be]

(Edit: More representative of what you'll see
[m.youtube.com]
They began playing when one of the two sisters was 7 and the other 11.
Racist Sexist Boy I think was probably their first success. If the boys can write Stupid Girl, Brown Sugar, and Some Girls, pissed-off Asian-Hispanic-American girls -- they might've been in middle school then? -- should be able to thrash out some punk with that.)

Their schedule:

July 13 - Open for the Rolling Stones in LA's Sofi stadium in front of, what?... 50,000 people?

[Two weeks off]

July 27 - Play -- is it a bowling alley? -- Asbury Lanes, in Bruce Springsteens' early stomping grounds, Asbury Park.

July 28 - Play the 130 person capacity venue, The Camel, here in Richmond VA.

July 29 - Open the first show of Green Day's and Smashing Pumpkins' 2024 North American tour, in Washington DC's Nationals Park in front of... 30,000+ people? They'll open eight more of these shows.

I'll be at the Nationals Park show.

And when the tiny Richmond show popped up for the night before, it's $22 all-in, what the hell, going to that, too.

BTW, the movie they adapted their name from, Linda Linda Linda, is not bad.

Just listened to a couple of Linda Linda’s songs not my style at all they look like teenage girls. Bubblegum. Let’s see how they go over with the crowd. I think beer sales will be strong during their set.

They are teenage girls... I think all but one. The sisters' dad is an LA recording engineer. I'll grant you, there's a lot better punk. After a number of years they still have the same girl-power novelty act air.

They're energetic and earnest at least.

Edit:

A Linda Lindas lyric of gratefulness and awe

Life just keeps on giving /
Despite all my bad decisions
I'm still here
and I'm still living

Could be a motto for the Rolling Stones themselves.
