Both much-loved tracks, but which is your favourite?

Mine is definitely Angry, I prefer its overall sound, the messy mass of guitars, vocals and handclaps in the second half, and that grungy bass.

What do you think?

I didn’t particularly care for Living in a Ghost Town in the first place.

I far prefer Angry.

Angry without a shadow of doubt, i still can't get it out of my head after 10 plays, want to keep playing it but not spoil it so rationing myself like an expensive whisky.

Like Start Me Up I'm not getting bored with it, time will tell.
I had no compulsion to play Ghost Town for some reason even though it reminds me of Love Is Strong which by the way is better than both songs in my opinion.

It's like bread and water, you need both.

Here’s my attempt at ranking the singles since Steel Wheels (this excludes songs issued with the reissued old albums). This is actually really difficult to do!!

Angry is much more in a style that I like, but I think Ghost Town is actually the better song.

Ghost town. Love the groove and composure.

The second bit of Angry is cool enough but the first bit.............just another rant from Mick. I'm over exposed to Mick's women issues. It's like he's got nothing serious left to say....Angry is at the same emotional level as Mixed emotions, ok but nothing worth giving too much thought to, and overall, not really memorable.....

The best bit is that bit of piano 2 minutes in.

Hoping for a bit more depth on the album.

Yep, Eddie. The lyrics is also a non contest - Ghost Town by margin. A tip to Sir Michael: if you have a harem of women and children with four of them some of them is going to be angry with you at any given time.
No need to write songs about it. Especially for a chap who wants to protect his private life.

I was so happy when LIAGT was out but I vote go Angry.

Ghost town has a cool groove, but Angry has more of a rocknroll vibe . So, Angry for me... But, both are great tracks

I don't know. I am trying to wait for the album to present me the song as part of that album. I do not want the experience of the album reduced by featuring a song already known to me.

I like both , so I don’t have to choose. If I disliked one of the songsthen Iwould choose the other.It’s like choosing between Exile and Sticky, or Some. Girls and Goats Head Soup. I will say I also like the songs Living in the Heart of Love, Plundered My Soul, and Criss Cross, which were released since Steel Wheels

They are two very different songs, it's difficult for me to compare.....I like them both

Yeah, quite different songs and we've got the pleasure to enjoy them both.

But, if I had to chose one:
Angy is more Rock'n'Roll of course.
Ghost Town has many musical subtleties to enjoy. From the organ, to the rhodes, the bari sax to the delicate weaving of the guitars, the intended space in the mix and of course the great bridge. All in all, for me, Ghost Town is the more nuanced musical statement. I've always liked when they do things that are not in their comfort zone.

I really like both songs. I would argue that Angry is the better single, whereas Ghost Town is more of an album track.

Ghost Town by far, a much better song with Charlie on drums.

Angry had all this build up and teasers just to deliever this very mainstream happy pop song.

I want the Stones to be darker and cooler. Best scenario would be if their first album in 18 years dropped without any forewarning at all, with no guest artists (except Bill maybe).
