I gather there is no time for that.

Doesn't look like that it'll be released at 0:00am. Maybe there'll be a social media announcement on Oct. 17th in the afternoon.

I can't see the point of all this continued drip feeding when the album release is now so close confused smiley

It's presently 09:48 GMT, and is yet to appear on my iTunes. Is it supposedly to drop, today? I haven't read that anywhere.

No teasing from the Stones at all. Let's see! We'll have the album on Friday anyway so I'm quite relaxed!

Yeah it can wait, especially after the great Planet Rock program! I certainly can't remember any official tease like for SSOH with the hidden cover?

Maybe 'Mess It Up' is just a digital release. Without a teaser, either just available from midnight via streaming services - or in conjunction with a social media post, e.g. 'listen to the new track'.

I think that’s the most likely and quite in line with what most artists do these days.

"Hackney Diamonds" production batches were shipped out to the distribution channels last week. This week the shops will prepare sales racks and shipping.

The Amazon delay thing may be logistics at a certain distributor level. The album will be out digitally by Friday Oct 20, also physically in stores the same day. Most fans will be able to hear the album on Friday, even if Amazon may be a bit slow on some formats some areas.

I don't know, they just released Stray Cat Blues as a digital single last friday. Would they release 2 tracks in one week?

Page 131 and people are starting to turn on the album lol - 3 days before the release date!

It's IORR!

Funny that as long as it is 100% praises it's ok if it is 3 4 5 8 days before release, if that same partial sounds are heard A LITTLE BIT differently and in VERY RESPECTUL AND NOT POLEMICAL way by 1,2 3 persons...
here we go...

I don't know, they just released Stray Cat Blues as a digital single last friday.

That was by ABKCO which owns the RS catalogue 1963-1971. Past 1971 releases are by RS own Promotone, currently licensed to Universal Music.

Spin Magazine ranks Hackney Diamonds at #17 out of 24 Stones studio albums: [apple.news]

I think the album is lower than expected. From the preview of what I have heard, I would rank my top 10 stones albums like this:

Sticky Fingers
Let it Bleed
Beggars Banquet
Some Girls
Exile on Main St
Goats Head Soup
A Bigger Bang
Blue & Lonesome
Hackney Diamonds
Between the buttons

For me the top 3 albumks post 1978 are A Bigger Bang, Hackney Diamonds and Blue & Lonesome

Maybe. If not now, then perhaps later on. After the ABB album release, 'Rain Fall Down' was released as single in Dec. 2005 and 'Biggest Mistake' as single in Aug. 2006.

I think that it is really premature to state so decidedly!

I guess that during listenings, say, no. 11- no. 30 we may slowly arrive at an early verdict of the album. A most wonderful prosess to live through. Then we may reach a revisable final verdict after, for instance, half a year, when we for long have started to listen to other music again as well, and a more established final view after, say, two years, when we return to the album after a protracted break.

Myself I have not heard anything up to now.
