Angry 10" vinyl and the 7" vinyl offerings? Neither are scheduled to ship until October 20th

In Europe they're available from 8-Sep-2023 :

7" Vinyl - [TheRollingStonesShop.co.uk] , [Platenzaak.nl] , [www.Bravado.de] , [Store.uDiscoverMusic.com] ,

10" Vinyl - [www.Amazon.co.uk] , [TheRollingStonesShop.co.uk] , [Platenzaak.nl] , [www.Bravado.de] , [Store.uDiscoverMusic.com] .

Man, I'm hoping to hold off on some of these items, but I see that some of them are selling out in places already, so I may not be able to!!!! UGH. I have a very expensive month, September, with car repairs, my pup having her teeth cleaned, furnace cleaning, and oil delivery. I don't want to have to place 2 orders on Bravado and incur 2x the shipping costs. ***SIGH***

Will the running time be the same on the different vinyl singles? It's always fun in the beginning to find out where the different versions of the tune can be found. Like with Scarlet, LIAGT etc.

So Rolling Stone Blues is not with Charlie? Can we thus rule out that this is a Blue & Lonesome outtake?

Rolling Stone Blues.....According to Keith, Andrew Watt took a 1920's guitar to Henson studios and "pushed" them to do a song "related to the band's name"

Thanks, that sounds fun! An acoustic blues track. I must have missed that info in the press conference, where did Keith say that?

BBC article

The last track on the album is a cover of Muddy Waters' Rollin' Stone, but Richards said it should not be perceived as the band saying goodbye.
"That's not intended," he said, "it was actually Andrew Watt who came up with a 1920s guitar, and said 'maybe you guys could finally do a song that the name of the band came from".
"And Mick and I looked at each other and said 'yeah, OK'. So there it is, it's more a tip of the hat to Muddy Waters, Chicago and all the blues men we learned our stuff from."

From the comments on [SuperDeluxeEdition.com] :

Q: "Why is it called 'Hackney Diamonds'? I didn’t think any of the Stones are from Hackney."
A: "Why was Exile On Main St called that? None of the Stones lived on Main St."

Isn't "Driving Me Too Hard' a B&L outtake, which would in turn mean that CW also played on this track (rather than on "Mess It Up", perhaps)?

Thank you, but then who is playing drums on "Driving Me Too Hard" if it's a B&L outtake? I didn't think that Steve Jordan participated in the B&L sessions. Confused.....

I get some non or casual fans criticizing the hot chick giving a "lap dance to the car" (liked that line from The Sun) but am a bit taken aback by hard core fans finding it "cringy". Classic Rolling Stones imo, it's what they do.

But also: she is not just a "hot chick", she is SYDNEY SWEENEY, one of the top actresses of the moment (just to give an example: she works in Euphoria, the most famous HBO series). She has more followers on Instagram than Mick Jagger and the Stones (15,8 M).
So, she is not "a poor girl who had no other choice and was forced to do it" (in that case I would understand the point), but she is the most famous actress of the moment who decided on her own to participate in a band's video legendary

I needed a few listens to the new song to see if it would ever get annoying but actually, after a couple dozen of listens it still sounds really good, and I have it in my head now, actually it's a great song! Very catchy! Guitar solo by Keith is also very nice, very minimalistic.

Man, you guys are suckers for all this absurd merch manipulation >grinning smiley<

LOL, not me, normally. But I particularly love the Tongue w/ diamond pieces, and I thought ... wow, if they have a cool fake-glass diamond tongue in pricey box set then I am going to have to get it. But I saw the box set, there's nothing spectacular about it, no fake diamond. So I am still on the non-sucker list, but it was close smiling smiley

My two cents : can't say I'm very excited about the single, it sounds pretty half-baked. I had a listen to Anybody Seen My Baby and Saint of Me : whether you enjoy them much or not, there were well-crafted songs (as far as Stones songs go). And the video is a bit cringe, as the kids say.

I believe that is Sweet Sound of Heaven.

Who plays the riff, Mick or Keith? It sounds a little like the Soul Survivor riff, so is it Keith?
