Wow, I didn't notice that empty space either. Maybe it's intended for Charlie after all, hmm.

It looks like both Keef and Ronnie are looking at Mick. Perhaps checking how he's walking?

I 'll be honest with myself , it 's my thoughts and wishes .... I have seen the Stones live 49 times since 1990 , new songs to me personally and to the public who see them for the first time , I think it does not matter at all , I prefer absolutely the Stones with their rough , dirty , mean songs from the 70s .....
good things to all ...

Everybody seems to be ready and Keith's gonna be jetlagged and likely get on Mick's nerves, he probably had some urgent stuff to attend to across the pond...

Release Date is the 13th of October

The Rolling Stones' new album, Hackney Diamonds, will be released on October 13, 2023. It is the band's 24th studio album in the United Kingdom and 25th in the United States. The album was produced by Grammy winner Andrew Watt and features drumming by Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021. The rest of the drums were recorded by Steve Jordan.

The album was recorded in the United States and contains a mix of rock, blues and soul. The album's first single, "Angry", was released on September 6, 2023. It is a rock song about anger and frustration.

Hackney Diamonds is The Rolling Stones' first album since 2016's Blue & Lonesome and the first album with all original songs since 2005's A Bigger Bang. The album is a tribute to Charlie Watts

If they tour behind the album, I have trouble imagining modern shows that have 4-5 slots of new songs. But that is what they did in 2005. The Ottawa show I went to had Rough Justice, Back of my Hand, Infamy and Oh No, Not You Again. There may have even been shows that year with 6 new songs if they mixed in This Place is Empty and Streets of Love.

By 2006 I think they were only doing 2 new songs (Rough / Streets) and in 2007 they ONLY played Rough Justice from ABB.

I'll reserve my judgement for when I hear the new songs, but I still can't imagine them playing a show today with 5 new ones

They’re perfectionists. They play the warhorses because they’re rehearsed. The problem with new songs is that they haven’t played them enough.

Two new songs in concert. Tips. If you’re lucky.

The article does say the 14th, but the 13th is a Friday, so if that is the weekend, it would be the 13th.

There's another error in that article, but it's minor - this studio album is the 26th in the US, not the 25th (2 more than in the UK).

I have a feeling we'll get more...3 or 4. They're proud of this album, or so they say...plus they've been playing the warhorses non-stop for a decade. I bet they'll be up to freshen the setlist a bit. Maybe that's part of the new chapter?

Wonder if they’ll put the new album on clear vinyl because of the glass repair marketing of Hackney Diamonds.

Well, maybe it's for the best to wait a little longer, as it will give us all a chance to digest and dissect the new single before we analyze the next track.
