Agree completely. It's a pity that they don't toss us hard cores more of a bone every once in a while. I'll be at StonesDoug Shidoobee annual bash in Wildwood NJ this weekend. What a perfect venue for a listening party. But alas! Not in this universe.

… but honestly I don't think that these pictures indicate shows in the cities where these pictures were taken (otherwise I would result in a kind of zig-zag tour with one very few dates all across teh western hemisphere… rather unlikely, I guess.)

I fully agree that this marketing campaign is not aimed at the hard-core fans who read IORR. It's to create a buzz about the Stones and a new album (are they called that anymore?). It's just a good bit of fun if you ask me.
Dare we be honest with ourselves and acknowledge that there aren't anywhere enough of us on this board to keep the Stones rolling and nothing they do is aimed at us? Much to the chagrin of those who want the deep cuts, which will never happen in a stadium, they are still performing for the those who want to go, hear the hits, buy a t-shirt and say they were there. And really, nothing wrong with that in my view. Cheers.

Listening to ABB for the first time in forever. I still love RJ, and I remember the first time I heard it on the radio and how ECSTATIC I was that new Stones music was here!!! The build-up for this new album has me feeling often like a little kid again!! Despite some lingering trepidation.

I think UMG is really pushing the marketing to ensure as much as possible one last #1 album for our boys!!! I think the whole campaign is fabulous!!! Basically, if you are a producer - you just need to be in the same room as the artist. Maybe come up with a few suggestions - and voilá! You just co-wrote a song! We shouldn´t take it so hard.
