I just hope for a single that we all (almost) can agree is a good song. Then if I can wish… an album that is more versatile then the late ones. Modern sound, classic sound, well I don’t mind… but versatile!

According to previous posts here, the term "Hackney diamonds" refers to broken glass - which makes sense considering their Hackney Gazette spoof ad for the repair of shattered glass. Just checked out Ronnie's IG and a recent post features the pics we'veall seen of the new Tongue projected on landmarks as "Shattered" plays. Also, the new Tongue is comprised of jagged bits of glass. Each shape is unique, with a beautiful shine, and they all come together to create a new version of the iconic Stones symbol we all know & love (perhaps a visual metaphor for the band and the new music?). Based on the above, calling it the Shattered Tongue now makes the most sense to me. Next step is the Stones HD Tour! (PS Hi Angee)

There are some comments in the Shidoobee Facebook group saying it'll be a press conference at the Hackney Empire on the 6th.

Also, StonesDoug himself said "rumors of Vegas and New York" (as far as live shows). He didn't mention the timeline on that.

It’s not jazz,just dead boring.hopefully he’s sobered up enough to realize just how bad those songs were. Praying for a rocker again.

The only one with a hint of jazz chord-wise is All About You, and that one is far from boring.

I love the "torch singer" side of Keith

...it's all about balance with the rockier stuff he's more celebrated for.

The good news is that it does seem like they'll drop the single on the 6th. Can't say I find the "Angry" title very appealing if that what it's going to be called.

I hope they'll explain where the way more appealing "Hackney Diamonds" theme comes from and how it's connected to the music on the album. Hopefully it's not just one of several "concepts" put forward by the UMG marketing team and/or outside consultants that they chose over others.

I remember that for "Bridges to Babylon" it was rather murky, the bridge on stage, the babel tower to reflect the cultural changes, etc.. TIOO has lots of details [www.timeisonourside.com]
