The new album IS called Hackney Diamonds. I was told this last month by an industry insider but was sworn to secrecy. I was also told it would be released in September.

This is true, and according to what Valeswood was told, it could actually be released as early as September - see his post above.

Well that's exciting and the title is rather cool/intriguing, have they found their mojo back after decades of lackluster inspiration ?

Surely someone at UMG must have leaked that ad in the Hackney paper ;-)

Tried it, very cool. A cockney voice essentially reads out the advert verbatim, sends you to the website to sign up then bids you goodbye. It’s very comical.

I kind of like the title (but am trying to ignore that Hackney has been hipster-central for a decade or more now, and is regularly mocked as being the epicentre of the worst kind of millennial!)

I know some people have been posting some art/graphics from Hackney Diamonds, but where did they find that? Was it from the rapidly-pulled artist's site?

I saw a few messages discovering in the web domain or in the legal terms of the website the Universal's name.

Compare the tongue on the website-logo and the pic that leaked. It has the exact same cracks etc. Seems to be related/the real deal.
