Hackney Empire is a prominent music hall on Mare Street. In 2013, a Rolling Stones jukebox musical was scheduled to premier there before running into legal issues and stalling. The idea for a musical was revisited and workshopped in 2017. Given that the ad references past hits and also hints the same theatre location as their 'new store', I think this might be a Stones musical rather than a new album.
this forum is the first for me, only someone referred to the other one, I found it. The album is coming and it's shaking everyone up!Quote

"Did the forum actually beat IORR with the news?". Yeah, they did - we here are too busy in in bullshitting and complaining to catch anything...

What’s Hackney got to do with anything?
Who’s heard of Hackney outside the U.K.?

It's a word, not just a place. This is the definition I feel like they're going for:
verb (used with object)
to make trite, common, or stale by frequent use.
"Hackneyed" is also worth looking up.

They're just taking the piss out of themselves. I like the irreverence of it, coupled with Diamonds and the fact that they've just had their Diamond anniversary makes all the more appropriate.
Best name for an album since Tattoo You.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I can’t make any sense out of it and only Grrr is worse as an album title in my opinion.
