very poor organization. All categories must wait in the same place until 5 p.m. Then 500 meters to get to control and 500 meters to get to the stage. No toilet...

"Fans will be allowed to bring bags no larger than 30cm x 15cm x 30cm. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper declaration and inspection."

I'm PIT A and still don't know which way to go. On the ticket it says "Secteur Est". Is it entry "Boulogne" or "Longchamp" ?

There's a few dozen ppl lining up at both gates.

Walking around the whole track, so far I haven't seen a merch stand outside the gates/fences.

Sounds like Brussels. I hope the lines are marked so people can see it from far away, unlike Brussels.

Not 100% on rhis but I rhink you can use both. The Boulogne one is a bit closer to the stage.

Did not see any separate Pit A or B gates.

I went for a walk around the venue yesterday to check it out and get my bearings. Considering it’s in a major Capital City, it’s an absolutely ridiculously inaccessible place, at least 2 miles from the nearest metro station.

Best to use by a mile is Boulogne Jean Jaures. It’s the nearest and involves a 20-25 minute walk through well lit streets to the main entrance to the venue, Entrance 2 on the maps above. Lucky Dippers have to walk all the way round to Entrance 1 at the other end of the park to collect their tickets. It’s a long way. I could see no entrance facilities there so it looks like a long walk back to Entrance 2 to gain entry, after all the people with normal tickets are in, which is fair enough really.

Entrance 2 is also the pick up and drop off point for the shuttle buses which run to Porte Maillot Metro station on Line 1. The signs all say that it’s a 40 minute walk. I’m a fast walker and trust me, it’s much more! Also, you have to go on footpaths alongside roads right through the middle of the notorious Bois de Bologne and it is very apparent that nefarious activity takes place there 24-7 and not just at night so if really have to use Porte Maillot Metro, be sure to use that shuttle bus. I’m not sure how well it will work because Porte Maillot Metro Station is currently a building site. I’ll be using Bologne Jean-Jaures both ways I think!

Topi, you and everyone else who is staying locally have made a very good decision. The concert will end at 11.15 - 11.30 and I’m expecting to get back to my place out at Bagnolet (right at the Eastern End of Lines 3 and 9) around 2am with all the crowds and queueing.

In fairness to the organisers, they’re doing their best to make sure everything’s clearly signposted but the basic logistics are awful. You can’t polish a turd. At least it’s going to be much cooler than Lyon, where I drank nearly 3 litres of water.

Don‘t know if this has been said before, but Pearl Jam played this exact same place last Sunday and it @#$%& up Eddie Vedder‘s voice (heat, dust, smoke from fires) that much, that they cancelled the next two shows. Maybe more.

Yes, obvious contradiction- d’uh . I’m pretty sure that’s where all the staff and contractors enter and also where the shuttles drop off people from Port Maillot. Everyone other than Lucky Dippers will be able to enter at Location 2 on the map. Maybe they’ve set something up for Location 1 this morning.

Even if you can enter by Location 1, Location 2 is a much better bet because the stage is at that end.

Sounds like a bit of a logistical nightmare to get to and from. I thought Stade de France was a horrible venue but at least easy to access by public transport. Good luck to all the IORR'ers attending tonight - have a great show.

Yes,stage is closer to #2/Boulogne. But they definitely have things set up at #1 as well.

Be careful of horse manure, should you need to walk between Entrance 1 and 2! The asphalt road is closed so you're going to have to walk thru the woods for a fair bit.

I think there are two entrances: because it's written on the documentations, because the taxi/VTC are at this side, the shuttle to Porte Maillot too, and because the office for the lucky dips is entrance 1. As we know and written on our email, when lucky dippers got their tix, to avoid black market they are "escorted directly in the venue". So impossible to let them go out of the venue to walk to the entrance 2...

Thanks for that Topi. Very glad to be wrong! Entrance 2 was very much set up yesterday but I couldn’t see anything at 1 though clearly all set up now, whxij is good news. Entrance 2 definitely the better pick for non LD ticket holders.

Horse Poo wasn’t the only problem. Dog poo as well. Grim.
