Hippodrome de Longchamp, Paris:
« On va aussi mettre en place des navettes gratuites depuis les portes d’Auteuil et Maillot. On veut proposer les meilleures conditions pour que les gens passent un moment à la hauteur de l’événement, exceptionnel », poursuit-il. Pour assister à cette date parisienne, il faudra débourser entre 56,50 euros et 342,50 euros, les tarifs les plus chers s’appliquant aux 2000 places assises ainsi qu’à celles, debout, situées dans deux zones au pied de la scène.

A Lyon, les tarifs du concert produit par AEG Presents iront depuis 95 euros sur la pelouse jusqu’à 287,50 euros en carré or. Des prix à la hauteur de la somme, astronomique on imagine, que coûte ce type de date, rare et exclusive. « C’est évidemment confidentiel, mais oui, les Stones c’est très cher.»

Since Helsinki was dropped I am probably doing Paris, booked a hotel near the venue in Suresnes. (I hate taking transit to and from)

how is the transportation to and from the venue to center paris

Transportation to and from the venue to center of Paris is very easy (ans fast), the Hippodrome being at the west in the "bois de Boulogne" being still part of Paris (more easy and safe than the stade de France).
Later we can give you some details of the transportation: métro, buses...

Easy. Take the subway till the "Porte d'Auteuil" (line 10), then special buses will take you to the site for free.

Yeah it's a bit ridiculous frankly, I wonder if they're not going to be pricing themselves out like they did in 2007, especially with two shows in France. Since the 2007 fiasco they had been careful but now that Encore and Lombard are apparently no longer in the mix AEG and Live Nation have thrown caution to the wind. I for one will wait and see...

I was there in 2007 too, with my parents, who are the same age as the band. The whole of the top tier of the SdF tarped off and strangely, FOS was much bigger than usual. They were selling FoS tickets at 50 EUR on the day IIRC. Fast forward 7 years to 2014, and it was a sellout!

Something is surely brewing on the Fnac Stones page, which has been unavailable for a while... let's hope for a map!

This one IS weird... Bid was sold to Live Nation as AEG couldnt secure a venue in Paris...

Prices are insane for Paris(live nation as Always), 4 days after a show in Lyon..
The hippodrome as been refreshed since 1995 but its still the same problem.

The grandstand IS far away, and its really small (3K to 4.5K. priced the same as the PIT.
In 95 they did 80K a night, could be pushed to 90,100K with New config so Big Big field

I love it when they said "WE re gonna put some free shuttles in place.." I laughed so hard!
They said the same thing in 95..and it was a freaking DISASTER!!
For the 2 shows it was more awful to get back to Paris Centre than Frauenfeld 98 or Canada 19.
Be very careful, they dont extend métro Times as far as Stade de France does it.
Shuttles are full like eggs and taxis will be so hard too find.
Be careful ans prepare yourself early.

Its not a venue I recommend honestly, think the Stones will shoot themselves in the foot with this one like in 2007(plan was a show in June, which would have been différent)

Lyon will for sure be full, but I dont believe this one will...

They said: 50,000 people with only 2000 seats. Because they keep the infrastructure of a festival closed a few days before: restaurants, bars...

That said, I'm afraid you're right about everything. I am disappointed with the place because I need a seat. I know this place because I have been to the races several times and the grandstand is indeed very far.


Transport part deleted: confusion with Hippodrome d'Auteuil which is closed to Porte d'Auteuil. Not Longchamp indeed. Sorry.

Ah so I'm not the only one who thinks that this "venue" is hard to get to and even harder to get back from unless you're planning to walk for 1+ hour ! In 1995 we drove there for both nights and parked at random super far away, not even sure you can still do that now with all the parking restrictions everywhere...

Is a hotel in the 7th walkable ?

Planning on going to the Paris show. Am I missing something in that people find it expensive? Comparing it to Amsterdam or Brussels, where golden circle is 300 euros, Paris is relatively cheap?

well, there are a few hotels in Suresnes, walking distance from the venue. I picked the Ibis Pont de Suresnes.

If you fancy walking for 1.5 hours, yes. You'd have to walk through the "Bois de Boulogne" which is rather "animated" at night too...

People think I'm - crazy!

At some Paris show Mick mentioned Bois de Boulogne during "Miss You" Can't recall if it was show #2 in 2017 or a recording I've heard it on.

And we all know Too Much Blood, right?
