From the early Sunday afternoon, some heavy thunderstorms will move in from the west and south-west. Heavy rain with amounts between 25 and 40 l/qm in a short time, hail with grain sizes of around 3 cm and heavy gusts of wind around 95 km/h (Bft 10) must be expected. Large hailstorms with grain sizes of around 5 cm and hurricane gusts of up to 120 km/h (Bft 12) are also not excluded. Over time, the thunderstorms can coalesce into a larger thunderstorm complex, so that in places up to 60 l/sqm of rain can fall within a few hours. There is an increased risk of falling trees, flooding and damage to infrastructure. There may also be disruptions to rail traffic. In the course of the first half of the night, the severe thunderstorms will move to Austria and the Czech Republic.
