That version of Shattered is my all time favorite one.

Third “All Down The Line” we’ve had as part of these, and this definitely the best one (which stands to reason, it was ‘94, not ‘15/‘16).

But what the hell was Keith playing in the intro? The ADTL intro is not hard...

Yup, enjoyed Extra Licks again. And today’s releases are rarities to me. Thanks Rolling Stones! A lot of the late 80s and early 90s fashion and design are cringeworthy today.

I found the music afterward cringeworthy.

Well I enjoyed the song’s.... Mick’s voice was particularly strong Out of tears works really well. Yes all down the line a good version but do t know what intro was?? As mentioned. The rhythm seems to bounce between brass and guitars it’s great!!

The VL tour in my opinion was the best post 82 tour. They were all in shape, Mick as a giant on stage, Keith in great shape, Ronnie was not yet in the most difficult phase and Charlie as always precise. So these tracks were very nice for me ... I love Out of Tears with that fantastic Ronnie slide.

That's actually the closest I've heard him replicate the Exile version. Not that I've heard EVERY live version but of those I have heard he usually plays the riff from the end of the chorus as the intro (if that makes any sense!?)

Wow, I must listen to Exile again. That third “note” he hits seems quite a few keys lower than I recall.

I did say the 'closest' - I didn't say he nailed it smiling smiley

That’s a fair point - the riff from the end of the chorus is what I usually think of as the ADTL intro, but you’re right, it’s nothing like the Exile version.

I suppose this was the first tour they played ADTL in the new “make it sound like the record” era, so it’s not impossible that he went back to try and relearn it.

They were certainly good in 1994-95... with some songs.

Overall they were better 1997-99 and 2002-03. Since then?

Eh, they've done OK, for the most part, with the NO FILTER tours. I think the A BIGGER BANG tour makes their worst performance tour, TOUR OF THE AMERICAS/1976 EUROPEAN TOUR look magnificent performance wise.

Nothing compares to '99. Keith was sharp, and Charlie was the Whammer.
