I rented this from my local library. It was better than most of their post Wyman era product. Probably the setting really inspired them. So far these 'extras' are uninspiring. I thought they were going to show us something truly 'rare'. Something we haven't seen before. Fat chance.
The Fonda clips sounds very cool. The band really rocks. I’ll buy the blu-ray right away. A pity that they didn’t do the br/cd-combo for the European market. How annoying are the spliced in interviews in the film?
So far the extra rare performances if that is what you want to call them is only the bonus tracks from the DVD's that most have bought and seen already kind of disappointing and those songs are not rare.
the Fonda show just reminds us what a great bunch of musicians they are together and that they really should focus on smaller venues going forward...the big shows are...well...lets say....beyond the spectacle...not very forgiving....they just do better in a smaller space now...my thoughts.
So, sweet summer sun.. is that the best version of paint it black. Mind you the atmosphere is amazing as well.. wow! The version of tumbling dice very good too. I’m watching it while I write this ... I love before they make me run. It doesn’t matter to me that this is not truly rare stuff. The smiles and level of enjoyment and interplay between the stones is great!
