Been a devotee since 73. Had been harbouring a hope he'd pull through. Saw him many times live - always a pleasure and a life-affirming experience. Sitting with tickets for a twice rescheduled show in Edinburgh. Will raise a glass to John tonight and, later, on the night of the rescheduled show.
Had tickets to see him last year, but he postponed until February. He postponed again. New date was in August. It wasn’t meant to be.
Rest easy John.
