Alright, sounds like finally the Stones have gotten a reissue/box set almost right (and, rather ironically, on the understated Goat's Head Soup) - the instrumentals of Heartbreaker and (particularly) Dancin With Mr D sound fabulous.

This is the kind of thing the Beach Boys, The Who and others have been doing for decades with their reisssues. Finally the Stones seemed to have worked it out.

Now, if they'd go back to Exile and SF and do those again properly...

Brussels Affair in digital domain is a clone of Japanese WARD records CDs. I.e. DR varies between 5 and 7 (most are 7 though). Everything is clipped to 0.0 dB. LPs, probably, is different story.

Just got the same email. Pretty pissed.

It's gonna take them until OCTOBER to ship my album?!?!

All I ordered was the 2lp alternate cover!!!

There must be a shortage of clear vinyl.

I did get an email from udiscover saying my four LP set has been shipped so it must be the two record sets they are having a problem with.

Still, on a pre-order? Bullshit.

Seems it's only the double vinyl thats having delay issues (clear and black)- I ordered the standard cover double black vinyl from uDiscover.com, and it's also delayed. I suppose uDiscover and Rollingstones.com are affilated? The price with discounts was only $21.60 (+free shipping), so looks like I get what I paid for - in this case nothing...haha those f*ckers...until mid-October anyways.
To add insult, they're even holding my double cd (only $12.00) and cassette (only $7.80) hostage until October also...might have to email them and give them a piece of my mind....bastards...
Also, guess I'll have to break down and buy another 2 cd from somewhere else (can't wait until Oct.!!!), and then give the other away as a X-mas gift...GRRR....

It seems a good deal of effort goes into making these deluxe albums, bringing in Giles Martin,etc.,. Then why are the performer credits wrong.Who writes them?

Deluxe cd set and the single album w 7" on it's way!


Drag about the double albums.. hope that it might be an indicator that sales were perhaps higher than expected and slowed production. The virus may have come into play as well.. things happen I suppose, but the stores still show a ship date of Sept 4th.. they should update that.

So far very impressed with the snippets and reviews.. one more day (hopefully)!

The original download from Stones archive has more dynamic range and doesn't sound as loud as the Ward CD.
