There is a really good Under the radar movie from 2011; called ( Kill the Irishman)
It’s the true story of a Gangster from Cleveland Ohio in the 60’s and 70’s named Danny Green. There is also a couple of documentaries out there about his life.
Ray Stevenson plays Danny a perfect fit , great supporting cast also Val Kilmer,Christopher Walkan,Vincent D’onfrio,Paul Sorvino and a bunch of faces we all know and love.
The director did a nice job of blending in some archive news footage from the turf war that took place in Cleveland with over 40 bombings in the summer of 1976 alone.
I highly recommend this movie , I believe most people would find it a great story.

I'm a big fan of all of them. Thought it was excellent. Better than Casino, although not quite on the level of Goodfellas.
Surprised that Stephen Graham's performance has been widely overlooked in the comments I've read so far. He's one of the best modern actors around and he's excellent again in this. His scenes with Pacino were hilarious.

You're right. Love him in everything he has done, and in some ways he steals the show in 'Irishman". Just his luck to go up against the Scorsese/DeNiro/Pacino trifecta; with Joe Pesci thrown in for good measure too.

I have no way to see this movie unless I purchase NetFlix. I already have U-Verse , ShowTime, HBO and ESPN or Sports suite.
My Cable/internet bill is now more than my electric, water, sewer bills, trash pick-up - combined.
How am I suppose to make split and change Entertainment just because one favorable show is not on a subscribed channel.
We are getting screwed by the Entertainment Industry way more than any any amount blown on a concert!!
Pisses me off
I was going to cancel Netflix, and then they announced El Camino, The Irishman, and Adam Sandler's Uncut Gems, which forced me to hang on a little longer.Quote

I heard that! I have a pretty basic cable set up, just high enough to get NFL channel & all the ESPN channels except ESPN+. & I bought Netflix which I have been thinking about dropping due to all the programming they have lost because of Disney, etc. The last few months have given me pause though. Both "El Camino" & "The Irishman" have been excellent. There's a lot of good documentary stuff, too. They've been kind to the Stones even though I've seen most of it. Not just music documentaries. I'm going to give it a little while more but I may pull the plug in the near future. I have no interest in giving Disney more money though.
