macca would have never amounted to anything or developed as a songwriter/performer had it not been for JOHN LENNON.

don't get me wrong, he's good in his own right, but to compare his stuff to the almighty STONES is like comparing Frank Sinatra to Jimi Hendrix. 2 totally different styles. Oh please stop. Macca is good. He certainly is. Macca didn't invent heavy metal. That was more likely The Who. Don't call Beatles stupid Ferrante. Wings was good, but not as good as the Beatles, and the Beatles weren't as great as the Stones (Even if they pushed the boundaries the most in that decade). Records of sale and such has nothing to do with anything. That's just Hollywood bull-crap. You put too much into The Beatles giving The Stones "I Wanna Be Your Man". The Stones made Jumping Jack Flash and Brown Sugar by themselves. Macca never ever topped that. I wouldn't call Drive My Car and Helter Skelter mellow songs. But I'd call Hey Jude, Blackbird and Yesterday mellow songs. I agree that he is very varied, but a true rock 'n roller??? No way. He's more like a Buddy Holly bopper (And yes I heard Run Devil Run).
The loudest song the Stones ever did??? No idea, but if you crank up Brown Sugar and compare to Helter Skelter, then the latter would look like a Sunday picnic in the park. Mick can't sing like Macca. That's true. But he can move instead. Macca can't. He just stands there. A Bigger Bang is a cool title IMO. The only title that would be cooler is: A Bigger Gang Bang . Right, Jimmie. That´s an opinion everybody should respect - just as one should respect a Stones fan loving ABB more. Both albums are fine work, it´s just a matter of taste which one you prefer. There is no "truth" in comparing McCartney with the Stones - also remember, it´s just Rock´n´Roll.
