Maybe a better idea would have been a compilation album of 10 - 12 tracks...
just the good stuff from Mick's solo albums.
Minus the crappy tunes.
I'd be hard pressed to come up with 10-12, and not just saying that because I can't stand Mick Jagger solo. Even when trying to be objective, coming up with 4-5 seems impossible.
If it were up to me, a 12" extended single version of Lets Work would be enough to sum it all up, and maybe as a bonus for cd include several different remixes.

i gotta admit this was worth a chuckle on a sunny sunday afternoon: guy who can't stand something stating "objectively" that the thing he can't stand is really crappy.

Just bought an original Wandering Spirit LP for next to nothing. Horrible cover but what a great album it is...

I don't know about better, but I agree a release of The Red Devils sessions and Mick (and Ronnie and Charlie) with Gary Moore at The Hammersmith Odeon in 1992 would be a good idea.

It might be worthwhile for georgelicks to share Mick's sales vs. Keith's sales. They both are more successful together, but fans sometimes act like Mick as a solo artist was a flop and Keith was a success. We might prefer Keith, but that doesn't change the fact that Mick outsells him. You can't just take Keith's word for these things.

How about Ronnie's albums... I'd think his first solo album sold fairly well?

His first album didn't chart at all, he only had 3 charting solo albums in the US:
Now Look (US #118)
Gimme Some Neck (US #45)
1234 (US #164)
He also charted with his latest solo album in the UK at #164, but outside of the main Top 100 official chart.
Slide On This didn't chart in the US but it sold 58,000 copies.
