3 separate sources, those being ABKCO, Geir Hørnes with his ace book 'The Curious Chronicles of Villa Nellcote' and an American model called Elizabeth allow us to know that at this session both Still A Fool and No Expectations were recorded.

Do you have more information on these sources?

Did Mick listen to "Still a Fool" and then found inspiration to write "Back of My Hand" ?

3: American model Elizabeth Anderson was present at this session. Memorable to her because afterwards she and Brian created a daughter, Barbara, who I met last year.

So, an extremely fruitful day for Brian!

Some articles I have read say Linda Keith only accompanied Brian to Ceylon in December 1968 after the Circus, and not in 1967.Is that possible?

Some articles reported 'shouting matches' when Brian was denied Hotel accommodations because of his looks.

I wonder if Brian has seen /was aware of this.
Sorry, I thought it was the first guitar synthesiser ever.

Given the Stones connection to Vox I'm sure he was.

thumbs up

Majesty, your isolations of Street Fighting Man are awesome!
That drum/percussion sounds incredible. The whole song sounds incredible, and I already knew that for decades, but this reveals new dimensions in it, at least sound and production-wise.
Impressive that you managed to sort out the sitar and tanpura separately. It's really the droning tanpura that's most obvious in the original mix. Years ago, I guessed that Brian played that horn sound (the shenai), until I learned about Dave Mason's contribution.

In 'White Light/White Heat: The Velvet Underground Day by Day' book, there's a mention from November 1965 of Al Aronowitz stopping by Angus Maclaise's Grand St apartment to discuss managing the Velvets, while Brian waited in Al's limo outside:

"Some sort of management meeting does seem to take place at some point in Grand Street, however, after which John Cale finagles a ride in the limo to ask Brian Jones whether Vox’s new line of guitar/organ hybrids actually work. (“No,” says Jones.)"

You can play this thing with a plectrum that's connected to the circuit. When you pick the string it grounds and it makes synth sounds. I have always suspected the ping sound on Keith's guitar on Citadel to be made with such a gizzmo.

Brian's parts on "Lady Jane", "Out of Time", "Under My Thumb" and "Citadel" (sax) seem too much like mellotron "stops" / "loops" actually

btw, you don't have to be a skilled performer on tamboura, it could be played with a single hand only.
