So if we don't get an announcement until 3pm ET / 9pm Europe the upside is that the two NJ dates mentioned (Aug 1 & 5) are very likely to stick as well.

I think these 2 don't count, because they were planned months ahead, like the ones in October 2016. A spontanous club gig like Palais Royale, Double Door or Toads Place which has the purpose of rehearsing "on stage" is yet to happen again since Echoplex.

The Fonda show was no rehearsal show, it was even released on DVD. They were well rehearsed by then.

It will have been approximately a year since they were on stage together. So
a surprise club show might be a good idea. Probably not so close to opening

Do you guys remember when we were all waiting for the tour announcement together? Good Times.

Look...it shouldn't be surprising. This is an international site, with people of all different languages trying to communicate in English.

Something just got lost in the translation.

In other words, when the 'news' came out for the announcement to be for Tuesday, that was a typo autocorrected from Tursday as it sounded as pronounced and interpreted from Siri.

In reality, the day was never going to be Tuesday, but Tursday, or as it may be more widely known, Thursday.

We've waited a month and a half... we can wait another day or two

Just flew back in from California today (I'm in France)...had non-cancellable tickets and was planning on going to Arizona+RoseBowl shows...still had a fun vacation. On the plus side, this postponement simplified my vacation quite a bit as I still didn't have tickets or accomodations (whisky glass half full ya know)
