Thats probably the price to pay if you dont have the time and energy to meet them in other situations, even if it's more difficult nowadays than in the past. But the interaction you get is usually much better I believe than at a meet and greet.

If it all (or 98%) of it truly went to charity, I don't think it's a bad thing.

It's not good ethics to mix profits and charity. Either you do a charity or not. Everything else is a scam. I'm not that fond of charities anyway. It's a rich man's pleasure.
In a democratic state the state should care for its citizens. Not arbitrary celebrities.

I can never imagine giving 35,000 to any performer. It's a outrageous price.Even if I was a millionaire I won't dish out that. Only greed, that's what Jagger has turned into, very sad. I won't fall for it.

Only Jagger? And Keith, Charlie & Ronnie still meet & greet for free?

Well, whenever I met them, I never had to pay anything...

He's right, even though its gonna piss a lot of fans off. Obviously, he's going overboard, because he's on the radio so it has to be entertaining, but everything he said is accurate and the outraegous at prices these days should be brought up every now and then. Cause anyone that pays that, I'm sorry, is an idiot. No one should have that much disposal income, and if you do, you shouldn't be using it on that.

As I commented on the video:

It's obscene, but NO ONE who pays for this is going miss a DIME of the money.

It's rich people paying even richer people. I have far more important things to be outraged about.

The location of the seats aren’t even confirmed? The way it’s worded, they could literally be anywhere in the stadium and you wouldn’t be able to do a thing about it. Between 15 to 90 seconds meeting the band? For 35k? Yeah, it’s completely absurd but not at all unexpected. This would probably make Michael Cohl blush.

You cats aren't thinking. sure it sounds real rushed but dig.
double your bet; you never heard tumbling dice??
75k gets you between 30 seconds and possibly, just possibly, depending
on the blend i guess?...almost three full minutes near one of them maybe.
ok? ssssh then.
for 140k, minus your seats and merch don't be greedy you write off crowdsters...
... you could possibly get between a full minute maybe...and more.
While you're there look up Chuck if you can. They don't let him too close but maybe....you could talk plink.
hey, you could talk about open tunings and your grandmother.
tell em fascinating stuff about the show you saw twenty three years ago.
k will go 'yeah i remember you!!" whatever....pay in advance.
maybe Charlie will scowl at you from across a distance.
life is short. you got to go for it, rich people.
tell em hoppy said nothing; (i've a better chance for a comp if they don't know it's mois)
ssshhhh

How about a $1 log in towards any charity that The Stones would like, for each gig. A lottery. Pick out 20 winners per gig. Not too inconvenient to do so for all gigs. They could easily meet another 20 persons per gig, that’s 5 quick meets, it would be nice. Equals the playing field for us not so rich. Not a full offset but it would let the real fans have a chance of meeting The Stones, versus the modern day “Madmen” corporations and their expense budgets who wouldn’t know the difference between Brown Sugar and a cup of tea.

yes well if a couple of hundred people lined up; cash in advance or credit card confimed,
then maybe they could just sprinkle or spray water on them as they passed!
maybe a water-pistol with a big tongue and stuff. workin with this...
...now you see the hops brain in ACTION. eye rolling smiley;
water sprayed, yes, but liquid that once touched the glass their assistant just brought them! They can just give Tim a GoPro and tell him to get the whole line or he's fired. that usually works. it's no lose sitch for the fans...
....then if they want download vids of them getting sprayed by their stars,
well, it's only a little extra cause you'll get a little discount thing sent to your phone. VIP probably stands for Vendors Insulting People, just go with the flow...

The Stones should ask for more. They are living legends. Whoever wants to shake hands with the 4 remaining Stones should be ready to pay the highest price.

I know it is a long video, but at the end, he does point out that it looks like this is a fund raiser for the band's charities.

On a serious note ...I'm not really sure where I stand with this stuff.

It's very easy for most of us to forget that some well heeled folks can & do spend $35,000 as easily as we might spend $300 or even $3.

On that basis , good luck to them, and if any charities benefit as a result... bonus.

On the other hand I can't help feeling a little angry inside that these folks are spending amounts of money that could change peoples' lives on such trivial & vain nonsense.
