Keith helped design the "O" with tongue. I don't know whose idea the title Honk was. I'm still thinking it might be because Hamrick begins with H and ends with K, and swans honk. She dances in Swan Lake nearly every year. Or it could be a message from Keith telling a friend to honk and he will send someone down to open the door. I've been in that situation. More likely it was Mick or Ron's idea to have a bumper sticker that would get motorists curious about the latest Stones' compilation.

I’m no Saint
the lithos would otherwise sit rolled up in my closet
so I’d rather give them to friends I’ve made who hang or enjoy the lithos.

I guess what bothers me about this information is the planning of a Greatest Hits
while leading the fans on in the press about new material?
Or is it the silly game playing I find insulting to my intelligence?

Whoever keeps coming up with the stupid names needs to be fired. The last hits comp was possibly the worst album title the Stones have ever had - even worse than DIRTY WORK.

There are plenty of great song titles they could use for a hits comp. I liked MADE IN THE SHADE, SUCKING IN THE SEVENTIES and REWIND. JUMP BACK is decent. At least they used a song title for TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE.

But think of some song titles they could've used for this one -

ROCKS OFF would've been fantastic.

IF YOU CAN'T ROCK ME, START ME UP, HANG FIRE, SHATTERED... there are so many.

The Last Time might have been a good title, as in this will be the last time we will ever release another compilation.

Curious/slightly interested in the blue 2LP vinyl at Target HONK!, though will wait for a discount to happen.
I'm assuming the limited tour edition red 2LP vinyl sold at shows will carry a heftier price.
