Comedian Richard Lewis passed away today from a heart attack. He's had a long career, most recently on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Very funny guy.

Loved his comedy and him on Curb.

Kinda looked sickly on this most recent episode so this isn't totally surprising but still sad. I sad him in the last decade and he was fantastic on stage.

Richard was one of us, a huge Stones fan. RIP

News from hell.

I remember Woody's album release party held in the "We Are The World" studio space in L.A. with 20 Playboy Bunny hostesses, Phil Spector, Ian McLagan and a full roster of Hollyweird characters.

Perhaps the strangest though was Richard Lewis dancing by himself to the music in a remote corner of the room for most of the evening.

Great story about a great comedian. Bill German, who obviously was also present, added that Lewis would occasionally turn around and give a thumbs up to the other people in the room, and then turn his back to the world again. And he played a mean air guitar to "Live With Me" at The Wiltern in 2002.
