At Hyde Park, queued at gates for an hour before they opened, from mid-day, that got us about 2/3 down the walkway about 5' from it, excellent spot.
Then there are always the people who breeze up an hour before showtime, and adopt the 'see a gap step into it' strategy and end up a lot closer than we were.
More suitable for short people.......

Guildford now has a Five Guys burger joint. A little dear, but it's fairly decent.

Had a pub lunch last week, delicious 'homemade burger' (does that make it 'American style'?) Going again tomorrow, was looking forward to fish and chips, now thinking of changing to steak and ale pie......
May have to keep going back just to try everything (like I don't know) so I can make a good recommendation.....

Just look on trip advisor for local restaurant review's.

Not saying it's the gospel, but it gives you a fair idea on what's a decent eating place.
