They are very promising, some songs are really addictive.

The only advice would be for the singer : Less screaming, more singing
A bit more subtility would improve some songs

I just saw them last night. What a great show. The fact that the venue had almost perfect acoustics helped. What an age-diverse crowd too!

The opening band - Slothrust - was pretty good also!

LA shows are (were) Monday and Tuesday with a capacity of 1200 each night. StubHub prices were about $135 at the low end, a few hours before the show, the remaining 25 tickets started to drop in price and that's when I bought my ticket (about 2 hours before showtime)

Saw them in December. The energy was insane and they showed a bit more versatility live. Can't wait for their first full-length album.

Saw some snippets of clips of their Coachella performance on youtube and they seem sort of like a hard rock boy band.
Talented, yet there's a manufactured feeling to them - forcing the retro sound...and the vocals are a bit squeaky/squealy at times.

Agreed. Maybe its just years of people hyping bands that then either go nowhere or burnout quick that has soured me on "new bands", and I'll admit this "hype" is lasting longer than others have, but totally agree that there's something off. Manufactured is the right word. I genuinely hope its real. But everyone has been putting a lot of pressure on these guys from day one when there's very little material to actually reference. I hope they surprise me, cause I've seen this happy a lot in the last 10-15 years and go absolutely nowhere.

Yes! Runaway is an excellent album! Have you ever heard of Station out of NYC? Another young rock band.

Greta Van Fleet: the most overrated group in popular music. A blatant Led Zeppelin rip-off masquerading as an authentic, original act. Half of their material can be found on Physical Graffiti, the other half is instantly forgettable. I'll pass.

We shall see if GVF turns out to be a van flash in the pan.
Considering their EPs as their debut... The test for me is often a band's second album.

Alabama Shakes is an example for me of a young band with lots of potential. Great 2nd album -- as good as their 1st album.

Alabama Shakes is great....on record, when I saw them live, a was a bit disappointed, they just lacked something...GVF didn’t disappoint.
GVF, to me, has both, I saw them in a venue with all seats but everyone was standing, to me that says something.
For me, a band needs to have good music as well as a good live performance

The other day I discovered this VERY young band. I have never heard of them before. They are obviously heavily influenced by... well, listen to it and you'll find out yourself after a few seconds.

Is rock really dead as so many people and so called 'rock critcs' say, or is a band like 'Greta Van Fleet' the future of rock? What do you think?

New video for When the Curtain Falls:

His voice on this song is WAY TOO screechy...there's a fine line to aping Robert Plant, and he goes over the line.

I can't knock these guys for their success...they've got chops, and anyone bringing rock'n'roll to the masses is a good thing, but I feel like they're just trying too hard.
