Apparently, when in court on drugs charges in UK in the 60s, upon being asked to describe his profession by the judge, he replied along the lines of "I play lead guitar in a rock n' roll band". This seemingly didn't mean much to the judge, who then asked for further clarification. "What does that mean exactly", he asked.

"It means I make a lot of noise" ... Keith is said to have replied !!

Can't recall where I read that story, in one of the countless books about the Stones no doubt. You can just picture it though, the total and utter irreverence of youth in 1960s U.K. !! It's no wonder he & Mick got jailed !!

My favorite one was when asked about why they called the album Some Girls, Keith said it was because they forgot all their F-cking names.

Another one i read was when he was in make up just about to shoot the video for Wicked As It Seems, he told the make up girl not to bother ''as you can't polish a turd''.

My favourite..

After the release of Exile - 'They'll buy the new album and play it, but it will never be as great as the one they heard the magical night they screwed fifteen chicks'.

Also... 'I've discovered that the feminine heart is very warm'.

other favorite is;

Since Keith got his penchant for often-repeated one liners from Gus, I'd love to hear any other "Gusisms" that people have heard. Or "Dorisisms" for that matter.

For example, my signature on this forum "Nice bit of silk, Em," or when Keith's grandma would ask Gus to do something but Gus didn't want to, he'd say "I'd love to, Em, but I've got a hole in my bum." Anybody know of any others?
