So...Anita is gone, and has taken all her secrets with her. I remember how enthralled I was by her the first time I saw 'Performance'. 'Performance' was chosen by the BFI as the best British film of all time and Anita's presence was the very heart of the film.

I was hoping that she would publish if not a book, at least a very long interview. Her story is inspirational, because she truly did hit rock bottom - 20 years of heroin addiction and 20 years of heavy drinking - and then she came out the other side and the last 10 or more years were filled with accomplishments, pleasure and warm relations with friends and family. In recent interviews, she seemed happy and peaceful, full of hard-won wisdom.

I'm glad she decided never to write the kiss and tell memoir that all the publishers wanted. A classy lady.

Condolences to everyone who loved her.

RIP Anita

She had a big influence on so many well known stars.
From the beginning with Brian, Keith and Mick to today's supermodels like Kate Moss.

Oh my, so very, very sad to hear. Anita was obviously a magnetic and intriguing personality. Certainly iconic, an important influence on the Stones in their most creative years in many ways. There was just always something mystical about her, at least from this fans standpoint.A strong, talented, highly intelligent, and attractive woman. She led quite a remarkable life.

This one has to be very tough on Keith and his kids.

RIP Anita.

We shared birthday. Sad to read she's gone. Keith might "sing her back home". She's been a highly influental person on the Stones. She was - according to 25X5 video statement - definitely one of the "right girls for the right boys at the right time".

RIP Anita

A sad reminder that life is fleeting and should be lived to the fullest - something that Anita did in abundance. She was a cultural and fashion icon as well as a beloved mother, partner, and friend. Condolences to all who loved her.

Condolences and prayers to Keith, their children, family and friends.
This is a tough one for Keith. They had a great love story. As a fan of the band, I always want to see them do well, and by all accounts she hung in there and was very happy in recent years.
