EDIT - If memory serves en.mediamass.net is some kind of "automated" site that fabricates stories using popular search terms, see the "Stones Back to the Roots" rumour ?

Very shocking. Very nice guy, and he was too young.
I had to come back. So sad about this; stravolto.

Was a fan of Soundgarden and saw them at the Marquee in London several times in the early days. Chris was a great singer and performer. RIP.

Very sad news. One of the best rock voices out there. Great career. Seemed a very sympathetic guy too.

All the best to his family and may you RIP Chris.

Oh my goodness, what a loss for the world of music (esp. when you´re in your 40ies)!
I saw Soundgarden live in concert about 7 times between 1992 (Cornell w/ long hair!) and 1996 and Cornell and Eddie Vedder at the sidestage of Lollapallooza 1992 in Tempe, AZ. What a genius on stage.

Shock and awe is all I feel this second.
All the best for his family and friends!

Please remove the "!" from the title - kinda looks weird in a RIP message.

Suicide suspected:

Kinda shocking, since Soundgarden was in the middle of a successful tour and nothing seemed wrong with Cornell's health.
