It's only Rock 'n Roll.............but it's all psychological.

Get 'em thinking and then get them wondering what it's all about.

Buying the tix is the grande finale.

Only for music fans who have never seen The Rolling Stones play live before. smiling smiley

Obviously it was Mick who came up with this "No Filter" tour name, which also happens to be a thing with Instagram as the following forum discussion on photography explains: [forums.macrumors.com]

So it's a way of making the Stones seem current, by dropping a phrase familiar with the young and trendy social media set. It's the same tactic used with that "GRRR!" title.

No wonder there has to be a thread on IORR asking what "No Filter" means! grinning smiley

Apparently GRRR is something teenage girls text to friends when they're frustrated or angry. What the @#$%& that has to do with The Rolling Stones is the 500 pound gorilla in the room, I suppose.

Will they play some no filter hits from the no filter glory days? [www.youtube.com]

Take it from Lee Marvin... with no filter... you can light either end... [youtu.be]

Pall Mall gentles the smoke with no filter to ruin the satisfying flavor so friendly to your tastes

I think it refers to the "PIT" (sold as NO FILTER PIT)

...As in: "Sorry, there are NO Filter Pit tickets available"?! smoking smiley

Awesome. When you buy a VIP package for 1000 Euro, and get a ticket in the Fosse Or, you could complain:

You: But it said "No Filter Pit"
Them: That's right.

Ah, man. I knew it was awesome, but seeing it again makes me realise it was heaven on earth!
I would certainly be pleased to have a show as pure as that one.
Don't think they will, though, let's be realistic. But just a set of four songs?
Wouldn't that be great?

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

Means no new album until October (this year) as I don't think it will be the album title.

Ah, it obviously makes The Stones seem current. Question is, will it have any impact on the set list, and will it draw young girls to the venues?

I wonder how "young" the audiences will look like at these prices. Not comparable with Beacon 06 obviously.

I think this will be the record title. Although it seems too close to No Security. Anyway, I like that it makes a person use their imagination as Grrr. I like that one also, though some people think it means gorilla marketing, I see it as a cool tongue incorporated into a smiling gorilla.

If you look at the shots on the Leeds vault release, you see maaaaaany young people. I think there is always a longing for the stones especially with young people 15-35

IMO, Stones have much less renewed their audiences than others rock bands less ancient I admit it (Aerosmith, U2, AC/DC, Metallica...).

I remember seeing that 'live' streamed...amazing. Can't believe that's 12 years ago.

It means no Controlled Web Access, which leads one to think that all the euro concerts will be broadcast live. Of course, there will be a fee. However, the quality will be superior than periscope. I recommend being selective in the choice of televised concert if purchased.
