frenki09, don't get mad at me. I simply said I love Plundered, and seems lots of other fans do too. I would agree they can release Mocambo without overdubs, but at least clean up the sound a bit. Also I like the download idea. Hope someone important is following this thread and gives us what we want.

I hope someone that could get the stones rolling notices this thread.
Maybe a little home-made inspiration?

..Still don't know why there seems to be some sort of idea there must be video with everything. I "think" most music fans love to "hear" music...

I'm with you, I rip the audio of DVDs and rarely (sometimes never) watch the performances.

Most of the DVD's that seem to be packageed with all the recent live releases on vinyl remain unplayed in my house.

I always intend to watch them...and probably will....once. winking smiley

Any reviews from fans in attendance floating around for these two nights? Were they great shows, hit or miss, or otherwise?

Great question Maindefender! I don't think I recall anyone on this site saying they were at the show. Come on folks, share your stories and reviews if you were there. It would be great to read!

Nice to know I'm not alone on the video issue. Actually I had around 200 music videos. Now I have less than 100. Some I never watched before getting rid of them. However, I did rip the audio where needed, like unreleased (audio) live performances. These days I only enjoy music movies in the theaters where its a spectacle. My favorite being the IMAX film. Wow!

Just released: a Goldplate CD with most of Crazy Mama - an another numbered CD with the full take. The only live version before 1997. That's probably all new stuff we're getting for the new few years.

Both = Captain Acid's work and nothing new.

Nothing new? Until now only some 20 seconds were available of this rare live track.

That was contributed by Torn&Frayed a member of this board...I transferred the tape Capt put it together...T&F deserves more credit than he gets...Capt wrote it all out on the CD art

Props to all who contributed to the work. I am enjoying it as I type. Many thanks.
Let's hope that someone with better access to original tapes will be willing to put forth that much effort!

Exactly 3:02 were and are still available: [iorr.org]

I count only silver CD releases.

I fear they wont release this mother of all milestones in popular music and performance because of the third side of LYL - the selling point of that glorious album. We love the Mocambo and we (?) would sell our dear ones for a filmed concert of course.

Whoever these fans are, they had the best seats in the entire 50+ year history of the Rolling Stones!

Not much about their playing and the set list. That would be the stuff to hear from any of the 300 who were there. And how did they get away with two shows without the story breaking lose?

I think there were no extensive rehearsals for Mocambo - they simply played to sloopy for release purposes, although it was not a mess like Philadelphia 81.

I truly hope this will be the next vault release. The holy grail. All the songs played on these two nights released on vinyl, CD and as a download. No overdubs, just the way it was. A dream come true. Come on Stones!

Keith looks cool unshaven. Surprised he didn't do it more often.

News did get out for the 2nd night and loads of people tried to get in...I believe some lucky souls who knew El Mocambo staff slipped in for the show...

Really? To me he's a walking corpse. If we get a release for these shows I'm sure "revisionist" Mick will have all the pix for the artwork photoshopped.

Jagger to the art director : "Remove the stub. Make his skin less greenish. Broaden his body so he looks more fleshy... Do you have a filter that would give the impression he washed his hair before the show? No...?" grinning smiley

Yes, the Marquee is probably the gig where he has looked the worst in his career. Other band members have also written about it. That he showed up at last second; no shoes, dirty LOL ...I wonder what he was up to.
I guess at Mocambo he was coming to the end of his hard drug days.
But I have also noticed this: he always shaved. I think even at that 76 show in Cologne; when he has the scarf around his face.

Not for another three years but yes he was of course beaten by the arrest.

The arrest didnt stop him from using heroin - Mick did. Mick and the 1981 tour.

I don't think so, no one could stop Keith. He did it himself, with a little help from his friends.
