Moonlight Mile, of course. I never understood the fact that they released it on Sticky Fingers, it´s oh so unfitting. Even on TSMR MM would be one of the unpleasing songs.

Another one comes to mind, Thief In The Night, but this one isn´t weird really, it´s plain boring.

As usual, of coruse: you don't understand something on top of you not understanding anything. It's "unfitting"? But the Latin-esque - oh wait, too big of a word for you - the jam at the end of Can't You Hear Me Knocking is? The country song is? The blues song is? The ballad is?

You know what is fitting? DIRTY WORK - right in the trash bin of music history. Because that's where it is.

Just because you don't like one of their great tracks from one of their greatest albums (and one of Keith's better Stones songs) doesn't qualify it as "weird". Your lack of ability to hear and understand what good songs are just shores up your kookness.

"I Just Want to See His Face" is weird -- but in a very good way.

I always thought "Jigsaw Puzzle" was weird. It sounds like a Dylan parody.

C-cksucker Blues...Why a song like that? Pretty weird to me...

In no particular order:

Fool to cry
Miss you
Emotional Rescue

In what sense do you find those radio-friendly singles weird?

Well DP, I just don't like these songs. Whether on LP/CD nor in concerts.
Thank god I only had to stand FTC just one time in a concert. Every time they
play 'Miss you' in concert I go for a beer. The song lasts and so I have enough time for a drink.

I can understand that, mate. However, they don't really strike me as weird, hence I asked.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess thumbs up

Personally, I thought "Hot Stuff" was plenty weird when I first heard it on the radio. The Stones playing disco? I actually called the station and asked the DJ what I had just heard.

They owed Decca one more single on their contract (before dropping Decca to form their own label.) They did it as a joke--you can hear Mick laughing at one point. CS Blues was a great big middle finger to Allen Klein and the record company. Thoroughly unreleasable, but they fulfilled the contract!

On With the Show.

I get the song, right in the Sgt. Pepper's mold and the seaside carnival barker and all that stuff.

But the Stones?

Very English, so yes, The Stones.

"Infamy" on ABB. Keith's tune, with a tribal feel to it although Mick's harmonica tries to bring it into bluesy known territory. Strange ....
Rockandroll,
