But when there are only three German shows 2014/17 why should 2 of them be in Berlin, in the middle of the GDR?
Due to the high demand in East-Germany as predicted by you - [iorr.org] ?
And btw there's no GDR anymore ....

Peace to my fellow German country fellows: Maybe they don't play in 2017.
But in 2018 they play to promote the new studio album plus some Blues numbers to an open-minded audience whereas in 2017 they make use of new markets like Eastern Europe that can be satisfied with a big hits setlist.
I don't think they will tour to promote Blue and Lonesome in a classical album-concert-promo way.
I expect in 2018 also a brief tour of Europe to have time to play the Americas and Far East.

You should apply at DEAG (Deutsche Entertainment AG). Their owner, Peter Schwenkow (Stones Tour-promoter since 1998, owner of Berlin Waldbühne and owner of the german subsidiary of Ticketmaster) will really appreciate your great knowledge and experience in respect of concerts.

You mean there are two European legs planned 2017/18? Sources?

No source, just assumptions. The same continent two years in a row isn't that unsusual nowadays.
They even played a 'weird (das heißt eigentlich seltsam, aber rare passt im Englischen wohl gar nicht und seltsam ist vom Sinn sogar näher dran...) cities' US tour.
I can imagine such a thing for 2017, with one or two club shows in 'classical' Stones countries with a Blues setlist more or less as the icing on the cake.
(Komisch, mich selbst zu übersetzen...)

Maybe no concert in the south of Germany but one in Basel.

I don't know. Actually I'd rather have another concert in an other country. Nobody's as boring as the swiss. ><

I was in Switzerland in 2014 at the Stones concert in Letzigrund Stadion. Of course the audience was not like the Argentinians, but there was a lot of fun, especially the pre-party at the now defunct Stray Cat Bar. I miss those days, and I hope to go back there next year.

Don't take me too serious guys, I'm swiss myself!
I just find it much more interesting to travel to other countries and take memories with you, you wouldn't get with a concert in a town nearby. But obviously the same applies for you, Cristiano, traveling all the way from SA.
Anyway, see you two at the next Stones gig here!

Rock In Vienna will take place from 2-5 June.
4 festival days means 4 headliners, by today 3 of them are officially announced as they are Kings Of Leon, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Die Toten Hosen.
There's only one space left for one more headliner...
If they announce The Stones as part of RIV - I don't think this gig will be included in a 140 € festival ticketQuote

The Rock in Vienna tickets are on sale...it would be really good to know. It would feel really bad if they announced The Rolling Stones by the time the tickets were gone. It is no problem to buy one now, but buying a 140 Euro ticket without knowing that they will be there is really beyond what I want to risk, since those 140 E would just end up in a garbage otherwise.
