I can appreciate his place in music and certainly he’s earned it. Some of his songs are all time classics. But he never grabbed me, I’m not sure why. Like I said, possibly it’s his delivery. I just wondered if anyone else has failed to be grasped by the Bruce.

Count me in, and I agree with everything in your post.

There are other threads. Please keep in mind there are more world wide fans that love the E Street Band than just just a few random posts.

He connects with his fans on a personal level and that cannot be denied. He even plays 4 hour concerts. Yes I will defend him just as I do America. And those that have done everything in the world to defend freedom.

I think the Stones and families agree as they live here as well.

This is part of what I don’t get about Springsteen, this evangelical 4 hour concert stuff doesn’t mean it’s good! I’ve been blown away by bands playing for 30 minutes sometimes it’s enough.

Anyway, I shall not derail this thread, was merely wondering if anyone else had tried and failed with Bruce.

Good luck, to Bruce, Freedom, America, And all those great defenders of freedom you spoke of.

It’s that Schtick that turns me off him in the first place.

Well don't listen to him or E Street Channel. That is your decision. I'd rather discuss his music as oppose to making choices whether you like an artist or not. He is a hard worker.

I wouldn't take it too personally...I can deal with people saying, "Eh, I recognize his place in music history, but personally, he just doesn't do it for me."

That's a far cry from people repeatedly trolling for angry fan responses *cough* HMS *cough*

Only thing that looks bad there is his ridiculously dyed black hair. Otherwise he looks incredible.

I see no evidence of him having any "work done" or hair dye.

Haha. He’s done transplants and no that’s not his natural colour. Nice hair job though.

I really don't care what a person looks like unless it is a female and even then not much importance as I'm married to a lovely lady.

thumbs up

Unless this is purely a worship thread, I don't see why everyone can't share their thoughts on "The Boss"...up to a point that is.
I would bet that even on a "sacred" Springsteen forum, there are differing opinions on him and different aspects of his career (the good, the bad, the ugly)- just as there is here on IORR regarding the Stones.

Bruce had hair transplants years ago (good ones), but if you want to see a truly solid hair tranplant from recent years look no further than E Street member Gary W Tallent. Those puppies were worth every penny if you ask me.

tHis is actually a guitar player. thumbs up In an interview he said there are many better guitar players than me.

Again down to earth honesty and another reason to admire these great musicians.

This is what cracks me up when people say, "Ohhh, so-and-so would NEVER get any work done!"

The BASS PLAYER for Springsteen got a hair transplant.

This is a guy who hangs back onstage, doesn't sing or draw any attention to himself. Why on earth would anyone think that entertainers in the public eye that are under enormous pressure to look their best WOULDN'T have procedures done when they have the time and money?

Just as the Stones did for me, Springsteen's music has transformed my life and got me through good times and bad!

Here's a write-up on the movie done for the "Western Stars" album. The album may not be everyone's cup of tea, but, as I have discovered, it grows on you.

Western Stars is a real grower of an album; it requires a few plays, and then you get it.

Liked his albums 'til "Born In The USA".
From then I hate everything he released.
Never could stand his overacting, posing and destroying his Fenders live.

Tunnel of Love was a pretty good song - used to be played non-stop on MTV.

What a moron.

Never liked any of his albums as a whole, but he had several good tunes in the late '70's, and a couple decent ones sprinkled around after that.
