Plundered My Soul

Have the Stones ever played Plundered My Soul live since it was released? I haven't found anything on YouTube, but I figured maybe there was a bootleg or something. Thanks

P.S. sorry if this topic already exists. I wasn't sure

Flow chart: Is it on Hot Rocks or Rewind? -> Nope -> They haven't played it

The best song they never did.

They shoulda played it with Mick Taylor as a guest around 2013, could have been great, probably better than some other songs they did. Chuck and Bobby could've done a pretty good backdrop for it, and Mick did the vocals on record recently so it wouldn't have been a big challenge for him. As for Mick Taylor, he pretty much only played lead fills so that would've been easy too.

So much that would have been easy.

Has the truth ever come out about when those Exile extra overdubs were recorded?

It's a shame because I think it would work very well live.

As has been said, a shame they didn't play it with Mick Taylor when they had the chance.

The Stones play their best-known songs only nowadays and Plundered My Soul is hardly known by general audiences and to be honest, it´s such a poor poor song.

Says the person that thinks DIRTY WORK is a classic Stones album.

Fortunately when you say these kind of things, that Plundered is "such a poor poor song" and other baffling things - the truth is known because you, with the only exception being UNDERCOVER, say the opposite of the truth.

Your opinion is 9.5 times out of 10, wrong.

If it comes to honesty: I prefer Pass the wine or I'm not lying over Plundered my Soul.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

No. They should've. It was a relative hit (#2 on Billboard for singles sales) and as it was pointed out it's too bad they didn't play it when they had Taylor with them - a blaring glaring obvious screw up (they should've played No Spare Parts as well). At least let their fans know they - the Stones - are paying some attention.

Agree. I don't know what people see in this song. It's terrible.

Not up with their best efforts pre-1981 no doubt about it, but ranks somewhere among their with their 'best' post 1981 - which isn't really saying much
It was sort of a novelty - to dig out some leftover nearly 40 years old and updating it - not really worthy of being a single though.
Listening to it now via youtube, and Micks vocals are irritating as hell - like nails on a chalkboard.
And the entire song itself hasn't aged well - there's good reason why they didn't explore it further back in '71/72.
Would have been 10 times better live during 50 Counting/GRRRR tour probably, and Mick Taylor could have had more stage time.
But I can think of dozens of other songs in which Mick Taylor could have been showcased.

I think it has a lot to do with Taylor being back, hence people are loving it for sentimental reasons. I could be wrong, though.

Of course you are right. As I am if I say that the reason why some (even more strange) people are NOT liking the song is beacuse Mick Taylor IS on it, or not having Ron Wood there...

Seriously, I think the reason why many people like this song is because they have a thing called taste of their own and they use it might fine; based on their own judgement they actually like the song, that is, they consider it as a good song... Maybe that is pretty hard for some others to understand/accept..
