Attempted communication was blocked by the desire of ignorance

Decided to call my baby on the telephone
All I got was an engaged tone, It's off the hook

winter, I guess you didn't see this...

Well then how about the very similar:

Don't want to see her, afraid of what I'd find
Tired of letting her upset me all the time
Back into bed, started reading my books
Take my phone right off of the hook, it's off the hook

Good luck to all...

"I hope you didn't record any of this""No I didn't"

Well done, Green Lady.

Have you got a clue for us?

Not yet, so if anyone is ready...

This is getting like the Beatles and Stones singles releases.

Clue:

A noun [3-6 letters long, composed of the first letters of RS album titles all from different decades] impenetrable; hunch confirmed;
Transcendent experience, confession of vulnerability.

Which lyric am I?

We're not ignoring you, winter - but this looks pretty tough.

No need for me to have made the first bit so complicated, so I'll rephrase/simplify it.

Clue:

(line 1)- A noun of affection, impenetrable; that observation confirmed;
(line 2)- Occasional transcendent experience, confession of vulnerability.

Which lyric am I?

"Love is a mystery, I can't demystify,
Sometimes I'm dancin' on air, but I get scared"?

L = Love You Live (70s)
O = Out of Our Heads (60s)
V = Voodoo Lounge (90s)
E - Emotional Rescue (80s)

Thanks, winter. smiling smiley It was tough coming up with the "L" album... ok, here's mine... drinking smiley

The clock indicates that all must rise and leave the premises twice in order to enter into a recent thing.

A Stones original released between 1976 and 1981.

Good luck to all!

Would it be "Dance"?

The time (clock) has come to get up, get out
Get up, get out (twice), get into something new (recent thing)

Well, here's my next one:

Plea to listen to my request for entrance; a monosyllabic affirmative cry; I am omnipresent within the boundaries of your retest.

Stones original, released between 1967 and 1973.

Good luck to all! drinking smiley

"I hope you didn't record any of this""No I didn't"

Re: 'Which Lyric Am I?'

That has to be Can't You Hear Me Knocking, but different bits of the clue seem to fit different lines:

Plea to listen to my request for entrance could be can't you hear me (various things, but knocking fits best)

The affirmative cry is a YEAH

But omnipresent within the bounds of your retest (anagram of street) must be I'm all around your street - a line that begins Can't you hear me howling and doesn't have a YEAH in it.

PS: belated confetti for BreakingBlues and winter: I thought the album titles had to be in decade order, which did not help AT ALL.

My next one:

When one of the four really sucks; the king's tenure seems to be an adjective from a 1980s Stones songs; precipitation fills me.

And 'sucks' is strictly in a colloquial sense in this riddle.

Good luck to all! drinking smiley

We have a winner!

Strictly speaking the Empty Quarter is only part of Arabia, and probably not the bit Mick visited.
